Winterstom Tabs
« on: June 14, 2007, 04:05:34 am »

Here are the tabs I made for Winterstom (<3). Everything is there except the first solo (minus the two or three first bars :P).

I had a lot of fun tabbing this.. and I hope it's accurate enough for you guys!

EDIT: I updated the link and added the vocal melodies :)

EDIT2: It seems GP5 is not a good enough software to simply save a file correctly.. So I just realised it didn't save the vocal parts I did.

The melody part is completely wrong. But the rest is very nice. :)

Maybe you put the drums on Solo

Which melody part? You mean the intro?

Hmm, I'm trying to find an alternative, but the notes I have seem to be correct.

I'm pretty sure what I have is correct, since both the rythm and the lead seem to fit, and the rythm also fits with the solo.

Im sorry but the lead doesnt sound at all like the song does. :P

This sounds more right to me:

This is really bugging me. I know mine is not correct, but yours isn't either. I tried it with the solo and it doesn't sound right at all.

Well I know he's using a Gate effet (probably with an envelope too), so it's pretty hard to tell what he's playing.

I'll try to finish tabbing the first solo as well, but I know it's going to be pretty hard.

The instrument is an Arpeggio synth from the Sidstation.
It uses 2 or more notes and quickly jumps between them. hence the arpeggio name

So anyway, its probably very hard to tab it out since its probably 3 notes playing simultaneously

Usually arpeggiators jump from one note to the same note on the octave higher or lower. So far I've never seen them jump from only a few steps...

But this time it's not an arpeggiator, it's a Gate, I'm pretty sure.

Hmm, what about this?

http://membres.lycos.fr/jesuismongol/Winterstorm_intro.gp4

Not quite.

Here, this is what I hear as the intro.

It's still not perfect, but it's pretty close, in my opinion :)
