Sid Evolution! NEED HELP TABBING!
« on: June 10, 2007, 08:26:14 pm »
So yeah, I've started tabbing Sid Evolution, but it's really hard since the guitars are mixed rather low (compared to the synth). Not only that but I'm having a really hard time to figure out the tapping part. Could anyone help me? This means fix the wrong parts and tab the tapping part.

Here is the GP4: http://membres.lycos.fr/jesuismongol/Sid%20Evolution.gp4

It seems some of the notes property have changed during the conversion from GP5 to GP4 (some note are staccato even though I did not set them so).

Thanks for your help!!

Alright, nevermind, I figured out the tapping part myself. Although I would still appreciate if someone verified what I've done so far.

Is the first song you've ever tried tabbing out? And could you post what you've got of the tapping part?

What I've got of the tapping part is actually basic, so far. I updated the link.

The dominant notes for the tapping part are correct, but keep in mind that he pulls off to the 7 and hammers on the 9 sometimes while he's tapping that part.

Is the rest correct though? I'm really not sure of the chords during the intro.

EDIT: It actually sounds better with the octave for the synth.

It's just a quick half-hour attempt at the intro. Hopefully it helps you

Ahh, yeah it sounds so much better. At least I had the lead synth part correctly.

I don't have a guitar so it's really hard to see what's what. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: I think you're actually half a step off.

EDIT2: This is about as close as it gets, I think: http://membres.lycos.fr/jesuismongol/Sid%20Evolution.gp4

Yeah, it's a half step lower than it should be, but that's only because I keep my guitar in Eb Standard, and often forget to shift everything up a half step. Just tuning all of the parts up one without adjusting the fingering makes it sound right.

I know it sounds like crap. hell, i didn't even use an actual bass for the bass. I just used the 7th string on my guitar

I guess i'll just stick to what I do best. Making tabs.
