Yes, I feel very bad about it ... I am a horrible person, a liar and ... just plain awful.
I put the screws to Tomi the other night though, to make sure they'll take care of the last edits asap...

The reason it's taken long is because of other projects (that they actually get reasonable paid for)
with more rigid deadlines, that've gotten in the way.

Maybe I'll one day learn to put every release date 6 months later than I myself expect something to happen,
and maybe we'll be better at keeping those promises.

aww... cheer up rob! i think we mean't no offence to anybody.
and what comes to the release date. just publish it when you get to know it, regaldless of anybody whining about it.

Maybe you should put the release date 1 year later than the expected date. I know it sounds awful long, but when you get the thing finally done, you could be like "Guess what people ... the video is done 3 months earlier than we thought it would be!"

In June we saw a version of the video that was very close to complete, at least as far as we could tell.

There were some cuts that didn't measure up, and we asked for them to be fixed, and then I believe there were some details the makers wanted to add, like some camera effects and such...

But seriously, it's been 2 months now... And all I ever hear is excuses. And what's worse, all I can give YOU GUYS is excuses. I'm really sorry for this, everyone.

I need to try something extreme to make this happen... Just don't know what, yet.

Ok... Update time.

A short while ago we turned over the witch hunt to Spinefarm, and told them to hunt the makers down and make them deliver, and yesterday we were contacted by them.

They've said they feel really bad about the long delay, and that we'll have the video next week.

NOW, people... REALIZE that this is NOT A PROMISE. I know better than to try that again, because even if this time might be different, we've heard the "next week" speech before.

But let's hope this time it's for real, ok? I do, and I think maybe the pressure from Spinefarm was the bit that needed to make this happen.
Best case scenario, there'll be a rock video available within a few weeks.

I got an email from Hannu, our label manager at Spinefarm, today.

This is what it said (among other things):

Hi!

I don't know if you have been in contact with Tomi, but anyway he
promised the video to be ready next Monday:)


... So let's hope that it's for real. I assume it really means NEXT monday, and not this coming monday, but either way I feel that now things will happen, it's not just empty talk, so... Soon, my friends...

Also, obviously, the video is out too late, and we're already talking about what to do for the next album, but maybe, with your help we can make this video go as far as anything could ever go anyway, and make way for all that is to come.

In other words, people, let's use all means to distribute this video once's it's out. DC, torrent, *.*p2p, websites, youtube, google video, IRC, Facebook, MySpace, IRC-Galleria, and everything you can think of...

My plan is to have the video released in a few different formats, two at least, directly on our site, and then we work from there. We'll make a thread here for how to spread it as far and wide as possible once it's out.
