this was made using one of Gaijin's gig shots:

I tried 6 times to get a sig that worked with the photo...and finally got something decent out of it :P

He checked with me, and I provided high-res versions of the photos for him.
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?

Another one using one of Gaijin's shots

For some reason the color profiling and management in Photoshop is muffed up and changes the gamma etc. for some stupid reason. o well...so technically this sig is darker than I intended, but i have yet to find a way to save it as i see it in PS :/ (its almost too dark to read the writing, but in PS workspace it looks fine :()

EDIT: Updated with a brighter version to compensate

That doesn't work either because it is actually the working space of PS that seems changed not the saving...the working space makes everything look brighter then it actually is, and it is program set, so taking a screenshot will change it in a different program :/

Anyways, added a lighter version in place of the other one, you can actually somewhat read the text now, but still kinda hard on such a bright forum background

Use "Save for web".

Nice pictures as always, Chronologix. ;D

And yeah, try using "Save for Web", I use it sometimes, and it looks pretty much the same to me.

I have never saved an image without using "Save for Web and Devices" -.- in fact that is where the problem seems to be lying

this is what i mean by workspace and saving being out of sync (i don't use that color setting for my workspace, but it is to show how they do not match) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/Chronologix/wtf1.png

Okay.. that's.. odd. If it was something that had been going on for a while, i'd be more confident in giving aid, but if it's something that's just popped up.. Iunno.

I just reverted my working space back to North American Standard 2 and fiddles a bit with my saving options (disable compensation etc. etc.)

Is it fixed? Is it a possibility that it may be a problem with your settings on 'Save For Web & Devices'?

Nope it is still a problem, and it doesn't seem to be a saving issue, photoshop itself seems to lighten every image i open into it or create in it.
