In my opinion, Gaijin, i reckon you are slightly overreacting. Remember that this is a small community forum, and the "edited"(can you call it that? hell, its just text..) image was used for only us to see. Not like he printed it in newspapers and all around his town.

That's beside the point. The only thing i've -ever- asked for concerning my photos, is that people ask me (and the motif, if possible) before they use them. That's all. I've never (so far) denied anyone usage upon request. Never. It's so godsdamned easy to ask, and people can't even do that. And no, it's not only cloudstrifex that did it (and as far as I'm concerned, he's apologized and asked, so it's ok).

Ohhhhh I thought it was just me. But I've been around here for sort of a while and I don't think this has been a problem since I've been here. So when was the last time someone took one of your pics without permission? (besides me on accident XD)

It happens at least 2-3 times/week, so I'm -really- getting sick of it. I don't want you to get the impression that it's just here, it happens on other places as well. It was just the total lack of respect for my wishes that pushed me over the edge today.

I'm sorry if you think I overreacted, but when you actually make money of your photography (as i've been known to do), it really gets to me when people disrespect my fairly easy demands for usage.
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?

You've mafe money off photos? I guess I can see why you'd want permission, getting screwed out of money for something that was yours. Next time I'll be sure to ask permission. ;)

I am, after all, technically, a photographer, so.. yeah. But it's not so much about the money, it's more about the principle of the thing.

I guess...But I think if I took a picture I wouldn't really care if someone used it without asking. I could see if they were taking credit for it but if they don't really specify then I probably wouldn't mind. But then again I'm not a photographer... But anyway let's just let bygones be bygones and we'll (hopefully) respect Gaijins (or anyone's) wishes on how their photos should be used in the future.

Gaijin, why dont you just waterstamp the pictures and be done with it?

This argument tires me.

Because either a waterstamp really ruins the shot, OR it fills no proper purpose.

It stops people effectievely "stealing" your work.

As I said, yes, but then it ruins the photo. Anyway, case closed.
