Scooter - Ramp (The logical Song)

Genius.

Seaweed - Go your own way

Johny Cash - One

Johny Cash - Solitary Man

Ani DiFranco - When Doves Cry (live Prince Cover)
4 great covers I've listened to in the past hour or so.

Scissor Sisters : "Comfortably Numb" (by Pink Floyd) [though I'm probably alone in liking this]

Blasphemy!

"I Will Survive" by Cake is always a good one.  ;D

The AFI cover of "Head Like a Hole" was surprisingly not sucky.

The Dropkick Murphy's cover of "Guns of Brixton" is also not-terrible.

I wasn't a big fan of either the In Flames or Disturbed covers of "Land of Confusion".

The Rodrigo y Gabriela version of "Stairway to Heaven," mostly because there's no Robert Plant singing.

And, of course, every Weird Al polka medley ever made...
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

Primus - Devil Went Down to Georgia

haha, yes.
I just watched the video for that the other day.

I hope to play the fiddle as fine as that some day ;D.

also: A Perfect Circle's eMOTIVe album.  Incredible covers.
John Lennon's Imagine, for example.  BEAUTY.

You shall all be taken care of in the inquisition.

Was this the version from "The Departed"? I thought the credits said that was Roger Waters and Van Morrison...

Blind Guardian - Surfin' USA

Ugh - I hate that song with passion. It just comes on during the album and totally ruins the flow for me.

I like covers of The Rolling Stone's Paint It Black. Type-O Negative, The Agony Scene and Judas Priest did good covers of it. Any others?

Vanessa Carlton did a cover of it, quite like it personally.
