Linkin Park... (Merged with Linkin Park's New Album Thread)
« on: April 09, 2007, 10:14:34 pm »
... isn't "Nu-Metal" anymore?

Linkin Park Ripping Nu-Metal

*Cough.*

All joking aside, I think they made decent music on Meteora... so this should be interesting.

That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

I don't know about the other songs, but when I heard "What I've done" I didn't like the singing at all. It feels so weak. Damn it, the whole song feels weak.  :(
We're open to such things, we've even talked many times about doing it with Inja, but in a way that's redundant because we can already get Erica
:o brown chicken brown cow :o

I didn't think it was too bad. I remember hearing a song a while back that was a collaboration between Chester Bennington and DJ Z-Trip that was awesome (it reminded me of Timeplitters 2), so I'm hoping this newest CD will be a lot like that.

I actually liked their songs before they started the whole Jay Z thing.

I thought some of those were okay, but I always enjoy watching collabs between artists just to see what kinds of mutations they come up with.

?

Thing with the piano intro, chorus was:

"What it meant to me / will eventually / be a memory / of a time when I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter"

etc.

No?

Was this CD (Hybrid Theory) not released in the UK? Or did this song just not get any radio play?

Or do none of you listen to the radio? >>

It was released. I've got it. Impossible not to see the video on Kerrang for a while, too.

But, in the end, it doesn't even matter.
