Deadpool is awesome, but I'm not sure a movie would do him justice... he may be a bit over-the-top for the hollywood meatheads' tastes.

wow, you people are too picky here.

Ok, so it wasn't a work of art, but come on, it wasn't that bad.

I enjoyed myself at the movies and it was a fine waste of time... although, I could have gone without the dancing and emo part... but other then that, its was decent.

and X-men 1 was awesome! What in the world are you smoking?

In conclusion though, the best super hero movie is Mystery Men. And it will continue to be so unless something truly amazing comes around. Batman Begins was close.

THIS SUMMER... MARVEL TAKES THE FRANCHISE ANOTHER STEP... BEYOND THE LINE OF TOO FUCKING FAR... "SPIDERMAN 12: EVERYONE IS FUCKING DEAD, PETER"... COMING MAY 2016

Sirix: Wooohooo!

Actually, from what I've heard,

THIS SUMMER...MARVEL NO LONGER SELLS THE RIGHTS TO PRODUCE MOVIES BASED ON THEIR HEROES ANYMORE...ON ACCOUNT OF THEM NOT BEING HAPPY WITH WHAT HAS BEEN PRODUCED

That's not a joke, that's what my friend (who happens to be a pretty big Marvel fan) told me is now Marvels official policy.

I've just told my friend (who's a huge movie buff) about that, and he tells me that Marvel sold all rights to their characters in movies. So even if Marvel no longer produce, if they can find someone to fund the films, they'll continue to be made. :/

I haven't read much in this thread, but I just saw the movie, and I quite liked it. In fact, I thought it was real good.

One thing that struck me as odd at first was the scene where Spidey runs past an american flag. I mean, what the heck? But I'm led to believe that that was supposed to enforce the following anticlimax; a sort of point-and-laugh at the prior naivety of the citizens and spidey's invincibility. Following that train of thought, I thought this iteration of the series somehow brought Spider-man down to earth way more than earlier. Which I think is both good and bad: good because more people can relate to it, it's got more philosophy about worse parts of life; bad because I liked Spider-man being the happy-go-lucky superhero, without the taint and corruption of a typical human life.
Just close your eyes and keep your mind wide open.
