In Flames are a great band, I think. Each album is different and trying new things, and even though they dont get it right 100% of the time, theyre still awesome.

Soilwork too, I really like, though I agree that they are a bit more hit-or-miss than In Flames.

I adore Cloud Connected, but tbh I haven't listened to anything else. I should get off my arse and do so.

As for Soilwork, I've never listened to them.
Didn't i send you that ?

On the topic of soilwork, I like them, untill they go to clean vocals. It just sounds *awful* in my oppinion :(

I'm pretty much the opposite. I like it when they experiment more with clean vocals and take on a more progressive sound. Their old death metal stuff is hard to listen to.

Hmmmm, the only problem I have with it is his voice. He sounds goofy :|

His clean vocals sound awesome. Not goofy at all, I think uhh.. unique is the word you're looking for :)

Machinae Supremacy have 'unique' clean vocals, Soilwork is just goofy. I still like the music though. Sometimes I'm in the perfect mood to just listen to loud, shouty metallly crap, and it feels awesome.

In Flames is cool, got couple albums by them. Not really into Melo-death metal, In Flames's mostly the only band I listen from the genre.
Soilwork... hmm, got one album, "Natural Born Chaos", didn't really hit me, but a ok band I guess.

Yah Figure Number 5 is a really good album actually. A lot of the stuff off of Stabbing the Drama is pretty good too.

Yea, got Figure number 5 from a friend of mine for this weekend and gotta admit, this is actually quite good :D
Gotta check out their new stuff also.

Edit: Now that I've listened this album whole night, I got to say that this is really good.
