IN FLAMES
« on: March 09, 2007, 04:44:10 am »

What do think about this band? About their music. It's my favourite band at Sweden.
Also I want to take attitudes about Soilwork!!

I don't mind In Flames. As far as death metal goes they're pretty good but there are definitely other things I would listen to over them. Pretty much same thing goes for Soilwork but I think Soilwork's songs are a little more hit or miss. They're either really good or not worth listening to.
What meaning has my life that the inevitability of death cannot destroy it?

In Flames is a great band, Children of Bodom and Soilwork are better IMO (in my opinion) but In Flames is still nice stuff nether the less

I loved their early stuff, but I do not like anything since Reroute to Remain. As far as Melodic Death goes I consider Dark Tranquillity to be better. If you like In Flames's early work I would recommend listening to Shadow.

They're pretty good, not really my type of music though. My ex-girlfriend loved them, and I took her to see them live. They were really quite awesome, well worth checking out live if you get the chance.

2 years ago I dispiced In Flames and anything like that. Today I listen to that mostley. In Flames are good but I prefer Soilwork allot more. They experiment allot more I think. But both bands and other in these genres are the reason I started buying CD's again.

In Flames are great, I especially like their newer stuff, as Come Clarity.

Soilwork is ok, too :)
We're open to such things, we've even talked many times about doing it with Inja, but in a way that's redundant because we can already get Erica

Weird. I had my iTunes on shuffle, and browsing through the forums, I just had an In Flames song come on, followed by a Soilwork song.
I love both bands, but I think In Flames have more anthemic songs, and I much prefer their guitar riffs.

Agreed.

In Flames actually came by in January, but both of the guitarists were on leave.  :( There's no way I'm going to see the band with session guitarists.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

I adore Cloud Connected, but tbh I haven't listened to anything else. I should get off my arse and do so.

As for Soilwork, I've never listened to them.

I saw them in november : Perfect attitude on stage (better than Children of Bodom which played after them at this gig, in my opinion), and the singer is very talkative, which is better than a band that only plays its songs then go away (still in my opinion).
Now, I like a few songs of In Flames, as much as Soilwork or CoB.

I only started listening to them recently, but I like it. It's like metal, but smoooth, and catchy.

Love the In Flames.

Cloud Connected may well be actual sid (or emulated sid) as In Flames also did a c64 karaoke mix of Moonshield for their Trigger EP.
Fuck what I want.

My little girlscout, your mouth is getting sore.
