Naming differences in JNG files?
« on: February 05, 2007, 04:01:14 pm »
I can't recall them right now (I'm at uni right now), but the files that come with JNG are named differently than the ones from the site, and I'm not talking about the ones from JNG being "Little Green Men.ogg" instead of "08-machinae_supremacy-little_green_men.mp3", but more along the lines of Machinaeguns <-> "Xoxx Theme"?

Any ideas why they did this?

I think they thought the names didn't really care so much, since they were gametracks, or more ambient-minded.

It's part of a plot to end all things.
"What I felt was turned, in the tempest forged to hate. My soul I disconnected, and called out the Lightbringer to the gate."

The one I remember is "Flight of the Toyota" became "Flight of the Koala". I heard this was because the name of a game vehicle changed.

You can see other name changes listed in the Wikipedia entry for Jets'n'Guns Soundtrack track listing. They're shown as "a.k.a." in parentheses.

I think this is the wrong place to ask that question. Someone over at the Rake In Grass forums might be able to help you. I know that the game producers are active in their own forums, at least.
