Weird.

I like spiked humour but this is a loophole.

I just don't understand the first one. He ate his family's house?
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

I liked the first one, but not the second.

Yes, Harv, he ate his house and now he, and his family, are out on the street.

...He should eat a street.

I assume he ate a random families house, and thats just them sat outside crying. Wouldn't be as funny if it was him and his family.

Wouldn't be as funny if it was him and his family.

I disagree. I think that the thought of him eating himself out of house and home, literally, is rather funny.

...Maybe I'm just a sick bastard.

Actually I had the same thought. Then I realized it would also be funny if it was some random family, but I thought it was HIS family at first. Enough of my ramblings. :P

I dunno, its kinda like him suffering from his actions, when we could be laughing at the fact he decided to eat someones house.
We're analysing this WAYYY too much.  :P

Point is, that second panel needs to be drawn differently.  ;)
