Why is last.fm shit?

Right, never been to last.fm before. And on my first ever visit there today I discover a massive error!

Searching the web for one of my favorite bands I find a link to them on last.fm. I'm overjoyed to find them there. However, I look at the samples and don't recognise them. I listen and they are most certainly not my band.

So what's the deal? Does this kinda thing happen all the time on there? Is this an accident or some unknown band trying to leach into other small band's pages with their shitty attempts at music? And how the hell do I fix/get somebody to fix it?

Might be two bands with the same name? That, or someone's blatantly mistagged their music, and if so, then you are able to propose a correction, I think, but I'm not really sure how, and I've never done it myself.

There are lots of bands with the same names from different countries. It would be nice if they had some system to automatically seperate them into Band (Nor) and Band (Jpn) like they do on metalarchives. There are also very many stupid people on lastfm who can't tag their music worth a shit.

Hmm, yeah I can see how that could happen. But in this case the name of the band is in katakana, and the samples are using that katakana but when you look at their info they are of some band with a totally different name (in English). I'm not sure how they managed that.
