Nvm. An old regular at the #machinaesupremacy irc channel. He was talking about a finnish friend with a Fender Precision Bass :)

Ok... That would really have been a BIG coincidence if I would have known him. After all there is about 6 million people in Finland if I remember right.  ;D
My friend has a Fender Precision Bass too but it's a Steve Harris signature. *drools* Lucky bastard! But he didn't get it for free...  ;)

it has neat soun despice that others say that pd-7 is utterly crap

Haha. With some of my birthday money I was thinking about getting a bass, so I popped into this section. Lo and behold, this thread.

So, the Yamaha mentioned in the first post is a good instrument for a beginner?

yes, i warmly recommend RBX-170 to all beginners. it's not the best there is but its very beginner-friendly IMO
