Music to wake up to
« on: December 13, 2006, 11:02:38 am »
So, you wake up, you throw on your coat, bag, and whatever else you take with you. You set off out the door and as you walk towards the bus stop/workplace/school. On the way, you get your iPod/Zen/Walkman out of your pocket.

What is the first song that you put on? (If you put it on shuffle, just name a song you think would be good to wake up to)

I gotta say Rammstein - Du Hast. The uberheavy guitar riff gets me hyper, really wakes me up. :)

Korn - Y'all wanna single OR SOAD - Jump OR SOAD - Sugar OR SOAD - Prison song OR RATM - Know your enemy OR RATM - Bullet in the head OR Machinae Supremacy - Masquerade.
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?

An album that has become very common breakfast music at my place is Rammstein's Sehnsucht album. Lately though, Sabaton's Attero Dominatus album has more and more taken Sehnsucht's place as main morning music.

Anything from John Mayer - ..

specifically, something off his John Mayer Trio album, like his version of ray charles "i got a woman", even though i don't, i'd like to think that i wouldn't be so chauvanistic as ray in my having of a woman. But when it sounds that good, i don't care.

When I get up and start my travels to school, I usually like something fast and and rock-y to get myself in gear for the day.

Usually this is one of the following:
Hero or March of the Undead II by Machinae Supremacy
Follow the Reaper or Bodom after Midnight by Children of Bodom
Take this Life by In Flames
The first song on any album by Dragonforce

For some reason angry music makes me contented and happy in the mornings :)  I do not know why.

Agreed. As it is with most of the day.
