Dance Dance Revolution Universe - Xbox 360

Sweet. Theres a portion on the site that says
Quote
Xbox Live enabled online competitions, download new songs and dance steps, upload content, compete head-to-head, view internet ranking, instant messaging/email, talk live and more!

That may mean you can create your own steps and music, which would be -awesome- to a degree I cannot describe for an xbox 360 game.

We'll see, regardless..  should be fun.

In all the other DDR games for PS2 you can already make your own steps silly. :P I don't really like DDR anymore. The stepcharts are way too boring, the music isn't all that great, and they put ITG out of business! :(

No you can't use your own songs. You can only make steps for songs already on there. There IS a dance game like DDR where you put your own CD in and it makes the steps for you, but I forget the name. I'll ask my friend about it tonight.

Be far less impressed then because ITG was the one with Machinae, not DDR. :P But this other game supposedly makes steps to any CD, so I imagine you could put DXM or Redeemer in there and dance away. Like I said I'll try and get the name of the game tonight.

by the way, i have decided fex is your new conversational name.  cloudstrifex is too long and reminds me of Tyranids from Warhammer 40K

I'm aware ITG had the machinae songs =P

But my point was, it said you could upload content. Which lead me to believe you could make your stepfiles (and songs) in the tune of StepMania, for example (which may be what youre talking about. StepMania lets you make songs and steps at your leisure - I have tons of StepMania stepfiles).

It should also be noted Konami does DDR. Konami purchased ITG and shut it down for the most part. The thought the songs may transfer to DDR is highly possible as they probably have the right to use them now - So the idea of DDR shipping with a Machinae song or two seems possible to me.

But like I said, I was talking about the uploadable content stuff ala StepMania, where you can make your own steps to a song of your choice and share with the world - which would be an absolutely fantastic feature for the 360 and DDRUniverse.

No I wasn't talking about Stepmania and I know Konami now owns ITG. I found the game at last. It's called Dance Factory, although I have never played it and don't know how the sims look. I do know that instead of left, up, down, right, it is now left, down, up, right. That's probably because they saw what happened to ITG or something but it would be a hard change for me since I'm so used to DDR and ITG.

Rip ITG.. I've never played it but I has always hoped to run across one of the machines to play Machinae. I guess the chances of that happening have dwindled.

Nah they still have ITG at the arcade. I'm pretty sure it won't be going away seeing as the arcades I have been to still have it. And if not, you can always download Stepmania and I can send you the ITG pack. :)

How?

I mean, I would understand if you said it reminded you of Final Fantasy, but tyranids?

After you've been swarmed by those things enough, everything reminds you of the 'nids.

(ii) Live well under your own authority.
