You can't expect too much with your budget
I can expect a 3x single coil on a £55 one compared to 1x on £50

Think I'll get the Ebuyer one :)

1 single coil pickup.. It'll have a pretty weak sound :/

So? You're learning. Not playing anything amazing JUST yet.
Who says I wont be a natural? XD

I might just go for a cheap one so I can learn :)

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/91385

What you guys think?

that's the one ive got. ive had it a few days, and so far it's been great. being a total newbie to guitars i have no idea about them though, but as a beginner it's great to play and easy to use. and for £60 you really cant go wrong.

Get a Roland Micro Cube  :P
It'll be enough for year or two
Nice presets and a few effects... delay, reverb
and a Tuning fork!! (You can tune guitar with your amp)
And yeah, its cheap ^^

Guitars dont really.. break.. right? Only the strings break, if you treat it properly it'll last forever ;p

As for the amp, I'm ordering the guitar over the internet so I may as well get that Roland Micro Cube too. Cheers Fr3Ak` :)

The wires within the guitar can fuck up too, heated up wires etc.

Shaun, if you really wanna have some fun, get a "ZooM" effects pedal ;D
But if one day we meet together while I'm drunk, I promise you to draw a big group sex picture including a lot of forumites. :D

hihi, well
as for zoom, it's cool and stuf, a lot of effects, you know
but for almost the same amount of paper
you can get Korg AX1500G processor
which looks like this
It has like million of effects, distorsions, and looks bit more professional than Zoom
and yeah, it's round 220 €
and you can also get sound samples here
and yeah, one more thingie, it can do loops
round 18 seconds, not much but heh, that can also help...
think bout it ^^ go try it somewhere if you can
and yeah, and yeah, and yeah  :D

I tought to buy Boss loop station RC-20XL
which looks like this
and you can do great things with only one guitar
it has 16 minutes of recording  :P
but it is more than 300 €.. . .

If that site is blocked then all the others will be too.. The only site I can go on is these forums, strangely. At lunch the block security is lowered a little, and it lets you get on some other sites. I'll have a look later then.
