Nice to hear that. I did that for my laptop once and it installing Linux was more easier than installing Windows. I did experiment with Linux but since I could not properly play games with it I get rid of it with intention I try it more when there's more games running on it (and without hours of tweaking). Might not happen in near future but maybe someday? But yeah, having them both makes sense when other can be used to everything else than playing and other is just for gaming.

and thats exactly what I did :D
Windows partition has all my games on it, ubuntu has all my school, graphics, and basically anything thats not games. And then I have a partition with all my music on it that can be written on and accessed by both. Its very convenient except for when I have to constantly switch between the two (which is fortunately rare).

Yeah I did like using Linux on other purposes as well. It does not use resources as much and it has so many handy free and open softwares for it too. Somehow it feels nice to be in open and free environment when trying to create something. Beside being easier (when you get used to new systems) It helps to be more creative and to produce something for the others to enjoy. And software, although being free, were quite good as well. Only thing I did not like was that I could not play games I would want to play and installing softwares did require some thought and work. If I were to try Linux ten years ago I would not have any problem with that system but nowadays it takes time to get back in logics of using written commands. Well, when XP XPires and Vista is only possibility on Windows scene it seems that I have no other choice than Linux. For me XP already had so many features which made this OS very doubtful choice. I did that choice and XP is working but I don't like how this is build. I hope that Linux has better working gaming systems in that point. If not... Well, I guess that I buy Wii anyways at some point.
