« on: November 12, 2006, 08:58:57 pm »
Hey there!
This thread was written to help fans of the band find answers to common questions. It's presented in a pretty simple way; question and the direct link to the place you can get more information. If you're going to ressurect a dormant thread, PLEASE make sure what you're saying is relevant to the original topic.
If you've found information out yourself that you feel others could benefit from, please PM me or post here and I'll update the thread as quick as i can.
Thanks.

Please note that asking for links to websites or torrent sites for the new album is NOT ALLOWED. anybody posting such questions will have their post edited, removed, or thread locked.
overworld is out now! enjoy [:

Oh my god! there are certain lyrics in these songs that bare striking resemblance to existing songs! whats going on?
please dont post a thread specifically highlighting this. throw it in an existing thread if its necessary!

The final melody in stand sounds familiar, where is it from?

Before you all yell "WTF WHERZ CRAPPACK LUL?" fear not! A fellow member has hosted it and you can download it here;
http://www.blahblahonline.com/masu/
Mirror last checked: 09/04/09

Should that fail you, an alternative site with similar material can be found here;
http://ankle.sinistrals.net/misc/masu/
Mirror last checked: 09/04/09

Also, to clarify: These sites contain EVERYTHING released by the band on the web (and then some), except the Jets'n'Guns soundtrack (and the betas, which Rob strongly disapproves of sharing). If you're searching for a song someone mentioned that's nowhere to be found on the band's site, chances are it's part of the crap pack. If I see ANY more revivals or new threads about where to find this stuff, I'm gonna start maiming people, so help me God. - WereVolvo

(keep in mind that travelling is expensive, especially if you do it with a buttload of instruments and stuff - most of the time the travel costs are just too high for the band to ever do an extensive tour to other countries unless someone contributes heavily to the tour fund or the band members suddenly starts shitting money)

Perhaps he will set up a new one but i don't know yet. I will attempt to find another place to host stuff like the CrapPack(tm)

As of now, Machinae Supremacy perform live with pre-programmed synthesizers, and former keyboardist Gordon on guitar.

Backing tape is much better live then bringing an actual sidstation.
If the sidstation breaks it would be like loosing an arm or a leg.

So whose iPod is it? Do you have a backup backing tape, for example if your iPod stops working all of a sudden? Would 2002 MaSu use a midi backing tape from a cellphone? Would 2001 MaSu use Nokia Ringtone Composer as a backing tape? Would medieval MaSu be called TREBVCHET SVPREMACI?

Oh wow, that makes me really sad.  This is my first time reading up on the band in the last couple years.  I followed them religiously back in the early 2000s, right before signing to Spinefarm records.  Was it the label's idea to drop the SID? or did the band come up with it on their own?  The latest album is still great but I always thought that the SID was the heart of the band.

SID is still there, just not played by Gordon on a keyboard. SID hasn't been dropped, and Spinefarm wasn't involved in the decision to make the changes in their live performance lineup as far as I know.
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?
