Eventually, the newbs will get the hint and leave or improve. It's just a matter of the good members sticking it out or the improving newbs taking the place of good oldies.

I've seen this sort of thing way too often at another forum and sadly the only ones who can change it are the ones causing the problem. :/

I wondered if we have collected enough idea to make a real thread. I mean, this was supposed to be the brainstorming, wasn't it? Do we now make another thread with a summary of it, or do we do that later, or don't we do that at all?

I frequently see threads like this edit the first post to include relevant information in one convenient place.  That other thread that futilité posted may also serve this purpose too though, it's kind of up to what the forum seems to want.
