Machinae Supremacy Contest (For fans in Finland)
« on: November 01, 2006, 01:32:14 am »
Sorry to tell this for all the people here in English, but I just thought it would be nicer to inform this in more international way even if the contest is running only inside Finland.

So, for Finnish Machinae Supremacy fans. HERE you can find Machinae Supremacy contest and there are five Redeemer albums available if you are one of the winners. Only thing you'll have to do is answer one simple question and there you are. Good luck!

Anyway, there's an interview of the band on this website (here).
Would it be possible from anyone who speaks finnish translate it, please ? :)

Does it say that you have to live in Finland to participate?

What, the CDs you can win aren't even signed by the band?

Fear my high school girl English skillz.

"Even though many might've not discovered Machinae Supremacy until this autumn when Spinefarm Records releases the remixed version of the band's newest album Redeemer, the group has already gained a plenty of attention in a completely different way. Machinae Supremacy namely released Redeemer as an underground version earlier this year on their website and in 2004 the band published their music by releasing two albums, Deus Ex Machinae and Jets'n'Guns Original Soundtrack; especially the last-mentioned giving a good hint of the band's actual tendencies. Machinae Supremacy can't really be put into any particular genre, as the band combines heavy- and power-metal elements as well as different shades of rock and hardrock in their music, not to forget the video game influences that play a very big part and that eventually lift the Machinae Supremacy into it's very own dimension. The keyboard player Andreas "Gordon" Gerdin was still confused about the band's extraordinary lifespan."

Typical descriptive Finnish sentences are long and almost impossible for the English structure, it was a bit painful to translate 'em... But hopefully you get the idea. Now, am I utterly craptastic in English and just fooling my teacher by smiling prettily and nodding every now and then in the back row, or am I being staisfactory and understandable? Do you want me to proceed? WANT MOAR?

...and please don't laugh at the stupid errors I make, otherwise I'll be a good emo kid and cry myself to sleep. :<
