Yep. However, his speech is more or less directly taken from some open letter to some conservative talk show host. Old one.

Still, a lovely one.

yep, from West Wing, I think it was...

(I haven't had cable in many years because of the drek TV has become, so be patent with my lack of pop culture knowledge, please.)

Someone needs to do that to more people, but come on, we all know who that was supposed to be.. :)

Reducing amount of energy used, no UV emition, among other things, i think that was money well spent :x

LED's are cool. I have flashlight with LED's and I'm very happy with it. Bright, lasts for ages, it's small and doesn't hog for batteries. One small battery gives light for several hours. I'm planning on buying one which recharges when you shake it. Self sufficient, cheap source of light, perfect for long trips on nature or any emergency situation...

That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

I dunno if you can see 'em there, but the Knights Collection has LEDs in the twelfth fret. Imagine playing the black one (with green LEDs) in a pitch black concert hall, the crowd's silent, you slide into a solo, and then the music starts and the lights start flashing...

Yeah, but what is said in that video is slightly misleading. Most of the energy a conventional lightbulb uses above that which a LED uses comes out in the form of heat. This heat actually helps quite a lot to heat up your rooms, and so if you live in an area where you have to use energy to heat your house most of the year, it's probably not worth it to exchange all your conventional lights for LEDs. They are perfect for areas where you don't need the heat, though, like outside lights or flashlights (especially flashlights are a good idea, because batteries will last so much longer, and believe me, if you're in dire need of that flashlight, you want the batteries to still work, and work long enough for you to get to a place where you don't need it anymore.
