And Gears actually starts shipping on the 7th. The 12th is the day that it's guaranteed to be in stores.

On another note, Sky Broadband has just become available in my area finally. My mum's ordering it tommorow so fuck knows when we'll get it, hopefully by the end of the week/month/year or something. 16mb here i come!

If you don't know, what you'll do is try to create a silver or gold account with your gamer profile. That gamertag may be taken so it may require you rename it.

You'll need a gold account to play games online. You can buy the subscription in bulk for a hefty discount or pay seven dollars USD or so a month.

damn you! i was going to sticky this thread, you beat me to it

i came up with an idea though. as well as listing the users, this thread should be used to plan some machinae forum xbox live gaming sessions (because i really enjoyed the last one).

The idea is, as soon as we can agree on a date/time/game(s) to play, either drakonis or myself can temporarily put all the info about when/who/what we're playing into the first post.

So basically new members can come into the thread and in the first post there'll be a big list of gamertags, followed by a bit saying "friday 17th, 10pm gmt, gears of war, anyone welcome" (or whatever).

obviously that's only worth doing if enough people are up for some frequent xbox live sessions. thoughts?

Fantastic idea. I'm all for it.

In fact, we should get one setup sometime soon. Once you and Fallout has Gears I think we should hit that up. (if hes getting it soon/already has it).

Any other game suggestions are welcome, I'm pretty sure were all addicted or soon-to-be-addicted to Gears for the moment though.
