Subconscious desires ftl.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

I dunno if you've read about it, but in the online co-op mode, the two players can call down a satellite strike, and each one coordinates a separate beam (or part of the beam?). If they put them together there's a cool bonus, and it lasts longer.

Not to mention it's on-the-fly joining. Like Lego Star Wars.

Ah that's awesome. Hadn't read about that.

I knew Ghostbusters had it wrong. Pft, don't cross the beams my ass. =)

November 12th, I believe.

I know online orders ship sooner though, gamestop is shipping on the 7th it seems. Could theoretically get it sooner.

I hope Halo 3 has that as well. I hated Doom 3's becuase it was short and cut out the cinematics and the story.

It gets better. You don't have to sit around waiting at all.

You can be sitting there playing through the single player campaign on your own... A friend comes on to xbox-live, you send them an invite... BAM! they've joined your game, midway through the mission. That, my friends, is the beauty of xbox live.

Recently the devs of Resistance for the ps3 announced that while in their game you can't recieve messages from other users, you have to boot back to the dash to do that. I just have to laugh at all the people who'll have to put up with that.

EDIT: http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/3699/X06-Gears-of-War-Cliff-Bleszinski-Explains-CoOp-Mode/ there's where i found out about the co-op.

That's some super sexy news. I like that the single-player and the co-op modes are one and the same. It's also nice that they did it so you unlock acheivements and chapters together, so the host isnt the only one making progress in the campaign when his buddy joins him.

It's like single-player you can share with the world. Another step at bringing everyones living rooms together via xbox live ;)

Cool find man.

You forgot to mention, the players actually play as different characters!  ;)

Are you really that insecure about karma? =/
(i) There will come a day when nothing you did matters. But it is not today. Here and now, you are alive.
(ii) Live well under your own authority.
(iii) Abolishing suffering is impossible. Lessening suffering is mandatory.
