We have decided we want a "dryer" sound on our third album. That means basically less effects on everything, less reverbs, delays and such effects, and a closer, in-your-face dryness to guitars, drums, vocals... the works. This sound may make some songs less "epic" than on Redeemer, but what they lose there will be gained by intensity and attitude.

My rumour and gossip bits: There might be a song called "Overworld". It might be the opening track of the album. This is all decoded information from Rob's now playing stuff in IRC.

Aight, some info on the next album (after RRE), if we ever get there (I mean, if this signing now proves NOT to be the end of the universe)... But be advised this album won't be released tomorrow... It'll be a while before this one is out.

... Let's see... We've got a bunch of songs that are half-finished - we've made a lot of stuff for them, but they still don't fit together well and lack parts, or lyrics, or / and / etc...

But we've got like 15 almost-songs, and plan to make 10-12 of them into the third album... As you know, there'll be a remake (a +vocals = "real" song version) of Flight of The Toyota on the album. One song, called "Dark City", which can be heard a teeny bit from in Prelude To Empire, is a song about our home town, Luleå, more or less.

There might be some vocoded stuff on it (like in the intro to Fighters From Ninne), and there might even be another "real" ballad this time (like Flagcarrier... Ronin and Reanimator don't count as ballads, imo). The reason I say "might" a lot is because we don't know yet if we'll finish all songs, or if we'll put them on this album or site-release them, or push them onward to the album after the next one... Recently, Rob appeared on the IRC channel and asked us for inspiration for lyrics/theme/title for a new song, which they had already made the melodic parts for. Stupid me forgot to save the chat logs, but the gist of it was that after the usual silly and half-serious suggestions, he announced that he had decided on a theme: american evangelical christians, which he is evidently not too fond of.

Yeah, my source isnt entirely 100% reliable, its IRC ffs
I went through my chat logs and searched for "gaz" and tried to find all the info i possibly could, so some things could be out of context and some could be misinformed.

Ofcourse, you could always compare my list to what rob said in the other thread (actually, I'll add his quote to my list for easier reference) and decide for yourself which points are correct yourself.

The album isnt out yet, so sure there's going to be a lot of speculation and rumours going around, I just peiced together what I could from that mess.
