  • Music video being shot soon
  • Also, reached over 10,000 characters, and had to double post! LATEST UPDATE! [29/03/07]

-More SID than REDEEMER, less SID than DXM. (Face it, DXM was a SIDfest ;))
-Less synth
Quote
(mumppis) less synths more sids
(mumppis) but not so much than DMX
(mumppis) more sids than redeemer

-Heavier (unconfirmed, but I do recall rob mentioning that the next album would be heavier)
-'Dryer'
-Less epic

Quote
We have decided we want a "dryer" sound on our third album. That means basically less effects on everything, less reverbs, delays and such effects, and a closer, in-your-face dryness to guitars, drums, vocals... the works. This sound may make some songs less "epic" than on Redeemer, but what they lose there will be gained by intensity and attitude.

-Mixed by Fredrik Nordström and Patrik Jerksten (AKA Pat Power) of Dream Evil (unconfirmed, but they remixed RRE)
Quote
(@gazh) Fallout: the sound dudes who remixed redeemer both play in Dream Evil
(@Fallout) gazh, REALLY? :D
(@gazh) Fallout: really
(@Fallout) oh man
(@Fallout) :D
(@Fallout) gig together?
(@Fallout) :P
(@gazh) hehe who knows
(@Fallout) oh shit, that would be so awesome
(@gazh) they both became sid enthusiasts :)
Quote
(@gazh) LET'S BORN TO ROCK /Pat Power (one of the guys who remixed Redeemer)
(@Fallout) which were the ones that remixed RRE, gazh?
(@Fallout) the drummer and..
(@gazh) drummer and rhythm guitarist
(@Fallout) Pat Power aka Patrik J. Sten ?
(@gazh) Fallout: correct.
Quote
(@gazh) well, i haven't heard the bands those guys are in, but they've recorded and mixed most bands i know about or sth
(@gazh) like you say "Soilwork" and they're like "yeah, last time they were here we did this and that and that and it was awesome"
(@gazh) or you say "in flames" and they're like "yeah, they bought our old studio in gothenborg after we'd recorded their first twelve or twohundred albums" or sth
(@gazh) they had like some award on the wall from nuclear blast
(@gazh) for dimmu borgir selling over 100 000 albums of some release
-Remixers became "converts" to SID
Quote
(@SpeedD) You say "Machinae Supremacy" and they're like: "...Who?"
(@gazh) nah, they are totally sid-fans now :)
(@SpeedD) Converted them with the powah of SID?
(@gazh) indeed
(@gazh) they both became sid enthusiasts :)

-Mumppis mentioned something about a song called "Sidstar" (mumppis? reliable? doubtful ;))
Quote
(mumppis) next album will prolly have a song called sidstar

-Player Two?
Quote
(@GhostNinja) Rob: I would love you for like, ever (I do anyway, but yeah.) if you would make a Player Two? <3
(@gazh) GhostNinja: good idea... :)
(@gazh) GhostNinja: i started on the lyrics actually sometime 2004 ... but never finished it ...
(@gazh) It was called Player Two: Powerplay
(@gazh) huhu
(@gazh) cheezy, i know
(@gazh) Maybe it's time to make a Fighters from Wii

-Name already confirmed
Quote
(@GhostNinja) Do you have a name for the new Album yet?
(@gazh) yeah. :)

-Poe singing on next album?
Quote
(@gazcow) me and poe are gonna start working on some vocals any week now

-Song called Overworld?
Quote from: Wolfboy
My rumour and gossip bits: There might be a song called "Overworld". It might be the opening track of the album. This is all decoded information from Rob's now playing stuff in IRC.

-Rob's huge quote from the "Give us some news on the new cd" thread:
Aight, some info on the next album (after RRE), if we ever get there (I mean, if this signing now proves NOT to be the end of the universe)... But be advised this album won't be released tomorrow... It'll be a while before this one is out.

... Let's see... We've got a bunch of songs that are half-finished - we've made a lot of stuff for them, but they still don't fit together well and lack parts, or lyrics, or / and / etc...

But we've got like 15 almost-songs, and plan to make 10-12 of them into the third album... As you know, there'll be a remake (a +vocals = "real" song version) of Flight of The Toyota on the album. One song, called "Dark City", which can be heard a teeny bit from in Prelude To Empire, is a song about our home town, Luleå, more or less.

There might be some vocoded stuff on it (like in the intro to Fighters From Ninne), and there might even be another "real" ballad this time (like Flagcarrier... Ronin and Reanimator don't count as ballads, imo). The reason I say "might" a lot is because we don't know yet if we'll finish all songs, or if we'll put them on this album or site-release them, or push them onward to the album after the next one... You get my point.

Overall, the album might be a wee bit softer than Redeemer when it comes to the song material. But that is something that's hard to predict before the songs have been properly recorded.

-3rd Super Steve song to be on the next album!
(@gazt) maybe the mere knowledge that the third steve song is planned for the third album is present enough? ;)

-Song called "Dark City" on next album
Quote from: Gazus
Quote
One song, called "Dark City", which can be heard a teeny bit from in Prelude To Empire, is a song about our home town, Luleå, more or less.
Is it THIS teeny bit from Prelude To Empire ?
Yup. That would be it =)

-Mini-interview with mumppis, confirming song name "Overworld".
-Also, next album will rawk.
Quote
(@mumppis) fallout wanna know some info about the next album?
(falolout) please <3
(@mumppis) song called overworld
(@mumppis) mebbe
(@mumppis) in it
(@mumppis) thats all thats public
(@mumppis) :)
(@mumppis) gotta say next album will rawk

-Mumppis has heard songs! HUNT HIM DOWN!
-No songs finished yet :(
-"Few" samples and half-complete songs though
-Going to start on lyrics "soon"
Quote
(falolout) have you heard anything yet?
(@mumppis) yup last weekend when i was in sweden
(falolout) how many songs are finished so far?
(@mumppis) 0
(@mumppis) they gonna start to make lyrics soon
(falolout) well; how many did you hear?
(falolout) samples etc
(@mumppis) few
(@mumppis) few ;)

-New album "different" to previous albums; says it will be a combination of DXM and Redeemer, but mumppis indescisive
Quote
(@mumppis) but gotta say the next album with that kinda material will pretty much overkill the previous albums its like billion times better
(@mumppis) or will be
(falolout) :)
(falolout) which previous album would you say it was closest to?
(falolout) or is it completely different to them?
(@mumppis) different
(falolout) ooh, how is it different?
(@mumppis) well combine dxm and redeemer
(@mumppis) the best parts of them
 Ã¢â‚¬Â¢ falolout drooools
(@mumppis) or not
(@mumppis) cant really say

-Mumppis guesses album will be out late 2007-2008
Quote
(falolout) hear anything about when it will be done?
(@mumppis) didnt hear anything complete then :)
(@mumppis) well my guess i would say 2008
(@mumppis) or late 2007
(@mumppis) who knows
(@mumppis) just a guess

-Song called "Radio Future"?
New album will maybe have a track called: Radio Future

Source?

Rob's "now playing" in IRC
-Confirmed!
Quote
(Fallout) ooh just looking at my thread now
(Fallout) i have an unconfirmed bit of info
(Fallout) -Song called "Radio Future"?
(Fallout) any chance you could clear that up?
(gaz0r) one of the songs is called that, yes... not sure if the name will stick, it's a working title
(gaz0r) but i like the name
(gaz0r) so it might

-Machinae building a singing room for the new album (in Gordon's apartment!)
Quote
(gaz0r) we're currently building a new studio for recording vocals :)
(Fallout) keep people antiscipating the new album with regular-ish updates
(Fallout) :O
(Fallout) building? :D
(gaz0r) very low-tech, but, very functional
(Fallout) hmm, sort of like the storage room you had for the promo tracks?
(gaz0r) well, we're redoing a room in gordon's apartment for it
(gaz0r) :)
(Fallout) ahhh
(Fallout) awesome
(gaz0r) yes, like before... we've realized we like it that way, and we're gonna continue doing it that way... our pace, our place...
(Fallout) so we should expect top quality vocals on the next album?
(gaz0r) hehe.... well i sure hope so
-Delays partly due to building singing room
Quote
Fallout) anything else?
(gaz0r) hmmmmmmmm... . .
(gaz0r) i don't know really ... we've had a bit delay due to this, hehe
(gaz0r) but i think once this new singing room is complete
(gaz0r) we'll get some momentum on this

-Band very busy maintaining Hubnester
-Big new project in the works!
Quote
(gaz0r) we're working hard to maintain "hubnester industries", so that takes up a lot of our time
(Fallout) yeah
(Fallout) what are you working on atm for hubnester?
(gaz0r) we're doing a lot of promotional sendouts, and we're doing a challenge for another game company in the hopes of getting to make music for their new title
(gaz0r) but the lack of updates is due to a lot of work spent on "hubnester"

-Progress on album so far:
Quote
(gaz0r) we are doing work on the machinae songs also
(gaz0r) only half of them are near-ready, the rest still lack parts and so on...

-MUSIC VIDEO BEING SHOT SOON!
-woops capslock
-Music video will be a proffesionally produced video, no live clips etc
Quote
(Fallout) ..the behind the scenes video
(Fallout) did you do the editing?
(Fallout) the bit where it cut from the camera guy to a picture of you holding the camera
(Fallout) that was awesome, haha
(gaz0r) YEAH HEHE
(gaz0r) woops
(gaz0r) capslock
(gaz0r) sorry
(gaz0r) but yeah i put that together from video clips i took with my digicam
(Fallout) hehe
(Fallout) pretty good editing
(gaz0r) i try :)
(Fallout) bring on the music video! ;)
(gaz0r) hehe, we start shooting a video april 13th
(gaz0r) :)
(gaz0r) or that's the plan, anyway
(Fallout) for what song?
(gaz0r) ttlg
(Fallout) :D i cant wait! will it be a produced video or live clips?
(gaz0r) produced
(Fallout) ooh, what can we expect?
(gaz0r) i really can't say yet... but we've probably found a pretty good location
(gaz0r) i haven't seen it myself yet
(gaz0r) i was sick when we confirmed location

-No singles any time soon, but rob asking Spinefarm :)
Quote
(Fallout) if you're making a video for TTLG, will you be considering making a single?
(gaz0r) no nothing like that
(Fallout) aww
(gaz0r) i mean it's not gonna be a mini-cd with 2 tracks if that's what you mean by single
(gaz0r) but we'll try to get it on tv and such of course
(Fallout) ahh, because i was thinking, a single would possibly make a good taster for other countries etc
(gaz0r) well, i don't know how those things work really
(Fallout) but if you dont wanna do the whole mini-cd thing ;)
(gaz0r) and i don't much care to ... i just wanna make the music :)
(Fallout) hehe
(gaz0r) we've had redeemer for so long now what i want most is to make another album
(Fallout) well the way i see it is -maybe- a single could make it to the UK for instance, and then stores in the uk would be like "well hey, these guys are good, we'll sell their full album too"
(gaz0r) i see
(Fallout) but i dunno :)
(gaz0r) well, i could ask spinefarm what their view on that is
(gaz0r) maybe it all depends on the record label
(gaz0r) maybe spinefarm will make singles for us when we get bigger
(gaz0r) who knows
(Fallout) yeah :)
(Fallout) hopefully you'll get some singles out of the next album
(Fallout) only time will tell
(gaz0r) mmm
(Fallout) back to updating the thread -->

-Internal date set with Spinefarm, but not release date
Quote from: from main website front page
Also, we've set an internal date with Spinefarm, but it's still too early to estimate an official release date.

-Gordon estimates release date of next album in interview with iGGers
When will the next album be released?
Hopefully to the end of the year.

-New possible song theme: American evangelical christianity
Quote from: talhoffer
Recently, Rob appeared on the IRC channel and asked us for inspiration for lyrics/theme/title for a new song, which they had already made the melodic parts for. Stupid me forgot to save the chat logs, but the gist of it was that after the usual silly and half-serious suggestions, he announced that he had decided on a theme: american evangelical christians, which he is evidently not too fond of.

-Some of the album will be recorded at Gothenborg studio at end of October -sponsored by Fensty
Gothenborg studio booked for end of October.

-One of the songs might be Conveyer 110 [sic]
A song called Conveyer 110:
Quote
(22:07:18) (@gaz0r) np: masu - conveyer 110 [03:51m/1411Kbps/44KHz]
(22:07:19) (@gaz0r) ah
(22:07:20) (@gaz0r) works
(22:07:20) (@gaz0r) nice
(22:07:21) (@gaz0r) :D
(22:07:25) (@Asor) D:
(22:07:30) (Bocom) NEW SONG?!?!?!!!?!
(22:07:33) (@Asor) thats quite mean
(22:07:36) (Bocom) D:
(22:07:44) (@gaz0r) i haven't had AMIP for months
(22:07:53) (@gaz0r) so i haven't been able to "share" this info
(22:07:54) (@gaz0r) :D
(22:07:56) (Bocom) answer us please? :D
(22:08:03) (@gaz0r) song for next album yes
(22:08:04) (Bocom) this is going to the forums! :D
(22:08:07) (@gaz0r) awesome song
(22:08:10) (@gaz0r) you will all love it much

Album title announced: Overworld
Quote from: the official site
2007.11.08 - Dezo unleashed, and Line6 GuitarTones onsite.
We've added Dezo's image to the band page, as well as uploaded the guitar tones used on Redeemer and our upcoming album, Overworld.

???
We're open to such things, we've even talked many times about doing it with Inja, but in a way that's redundant because we can already get Erica

EDIT:added Rob's huge quote to the first post

Yeah, my source isnt entirely 100% reliable, its IRC ffs :P
I went through my chat logs and searched for "gaz" and tried to find all the info i possibly could, so some things could be out of context and some could be misinformed.

Ofcourse, you could always compare my list to what rob said in the other thread (actually, I'll add his quote to my list for easier reference) and decide for yourself which points are correct yourself.

The album isnt out yet, so sure there's going to be a lot of speculation and rumours going around, I just peiced together what I could from that mess. :)
