I have no idea where to put the art, so i'm putting it here...
« on: October 10, 2006, 12:23:16 am »
The art should be part of pics and videos....but its for only band related things, so i am just posting them here.
I have made 3 new pics for you all to enjoy! One is a machinae pic, another is a pic for my brothers band, and finally a semi-shitty album cover for an album i might make some day.

So yea...feedback my loving friends, please?

First one's great.
Second one would be great, but the text is ruining it.
Third I don't get.

Artistic criticism. Emboss has no practical use, other than to make things look... Embossed.

And that looks shit.

Tell your brother to make Mirrorscape one word. But that's some kinda pretty stuff. Have you ever messed with fractals? I think you'd like them.
Here are some fractals by my girlfriend.

i believe you could far more creative if you jsut sit and fuck around longer than you did, and even then, fuck around more, never post until youve kinda freaked yourself out, or somebody has told u it looks good. sincerely.

From what i see you are on the right track, but you have a long way to go, but be willing to go the length to make good art, its a pay off mentally when you do.

The best type of Photoshop art is the sort where you cant really pull it apart and see how you made it. I could probably name most of the filters you used in those pictures, and I'm pretty sure you -only- used filters, possibly even used a tutorial site, too.

But no worries, I used tut sites when I started using Photoshop, too. It helps to get a feel for things. Keep practicing, and use less Emboss, and you'll be fine :P

no, its not really good. but it has promise.

its on par with the rest of them. Your text insert lets you down. And think about the colours you use, im very tired and have to be up at 7am but im on the forums telling you how to do this? why... i do not know.

From an experience webdesigner and graphics designer mainly, i'd advise you to take a better look at what you've made, and what you don't like about it, go and focus on eliminating that from the picture. Or remaking it in a better light. The backgrounds are decent, however, the things such as the masu stock logo taken from the pack you can download on the site anyway, and just stuck in, not even to compare to the background, thats just lazy. be creative, colour filters.. hit ctrl+b or ctrl+u and see what colours you can change the layers to after youve finished them.

COME ON MANNNN!! ROCK IT UP!! N STUFF!
