Damn right, lets get a metal, Liberi Fatali up in this joint. I hope Nobuo creates another BM album soon, i need FF Metal with crazy solo goodness!

I think seeing as though Nobuo left SE a while back, the chances of a third album are slim.

The only FF song I like is from 10: Other World. That song is sex.

IMO, FF X has some very good music, but it's not as catchy as the old tunes and thus not very suited for BM remakes. My absolute favorite track from X is Hymn of the Fayth, but but a BM cover of that would be silly (or potentially extremely awesome in a wierd and warped way).

I remember reading somewhere that The Black Mages were supposed to be coming out with another album this year. But... seeing as it's, y'know, December, it seems slim.  But I was so sure that I read it in multiple places.  It was supposed to contain two CDs and it was to have something besides Nobuo's work. Music other than stuff from Final Fantasy and video games in general.

Oh god. If they did come out with another album, I'd so buy it or.. download it.  Even if it wasn't video game music.  The Black Mages pwn.  I'm listening to "The Skies Above" right now, and it's making my ears orgasm.  I forgot I had this song until I was reading up on the forums again. <3  And so many of their songs rock.  "Otherworld" was simply brilliant.  I could go on and on. But alas, I'm too tired and too lazy.

Oh, and...
He left SE as in...
He left Square Enix? o___o; When did this happen?

He's set up his own music company called Smile Please. So he's still doing FF music but music for other game companies as well. Probably gets a bit more moolah for it too ;)

I'm fairly sure he wasn't involved in the FFX/X-2 soundtracks, so sometime before then...someone confirm it? School proxy won't let me access *anything*. Speaking of which, apparently Wikipedia holds porn. Who would've guessed?

Edit;

'course, I could be wrong...>.<

He was involved in the FFX soundtrack, but was assisted by Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakan. He didn't do any of FFx-2. I think his first "Smile Please" credit was on the Advent Children OST.

So far from what I've heard, he isn't involved in Final Fantasy XII, either. I own it and I don't recognize any of his style on it. Maybe I'm mistaken, though. Nor did I see his name in any of ze credits.

He's had no input at all, save for the covers of tracks that the other composer did.
