The Black Mages
« on: September 25, 2006, 02:39:41 am »
Well I'm pretty bored so I think I'm gonna take this board's virginity. The Black Mages are probably one of the few bands I listen to almost as much as MaSu. I love the music and the synths and stuff. Nobuo Uematsu is definately a musical genius. I'd have to say my favorite song is Hunter's Chance from FF9 (although I've never even really played 9)

Okay so those of you who know who I'm talking about: Discuss! :)

I dunno.. you can't be that much of a musical genius if all you do is covers..

Since he made the music in the first place it wouldn't really be considered covers.

My favourite is Clash on the Big Bridge. It's so damn awesome I could explode.

Not sure if they've covered the Landing from FF8...but they should.

A good bit of the tekken-esque vs. piano brilliance soundtrack of advent children, i love.

And things like the man with the machine gun and force your way and all those full band ones that are heavy as fuck, i absolutely love. ive been a long time listener of this genius, underated. he should be god or something. his organ skills are imba.

Those who fight further, Fight Scene (FFI), and Clash on the Big Bridge is stuff of legends.

I really love Vamos Alla Flamenco, the Rocking Grounds, and my personal fav, the Skies Above (yes i know many don't like the japanese accented guy singing, but damnit i do) Lets get together and sing Engrish Song :)

Black Mages "Overworld" is way better than the ingame version.

SpiderChii would like me to correct her- *"Otherworld"

I'm still a sucker for "One Winged Angel", featured on the second album. It's less manic than Dancing Mad, both pieces of music are legendary. I also liked the boss music from VII- "Those Who Fight Further", it was begging for this treatment since it was written.
