A new Top 1:

The theme from Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea/Les Mondes Engloutis

That video brings back so many memories. That series was really cool.

  • Mindless Self Indulgence - Shut Me Up
  • Nightwish - Romanticide
  • Protomen - Will of One
  • KMFDM - Anarchy

I think i love you.  not only do you mention a very good (albeit overplayed) MSI song, but you mention one of my favorite KMFDM songs, AND The Protomen.  As for Nightwish... i love them, only becuase of Hampster, A Dentist, Hard Porn Censored, Steven Seagull...

Omg I love you too.

<3

Anywho, I agree it probably is overplayed but since I don't listen to the radio it's all good to me. I just really like the whip sound for some reason. As per Protomen... yes yes, they r0x to degrees that cannot be described by mere words. And uhm, Anarchy is probably my favorite KMFDM song.

In other news: WORK SUCKS, 30% CHANCE OF MENTAL BREAKDOWN AND SCATTERED TANTRUMS.

i approve of that video.

On the topic of KMFDM, are you a Virus fan?  In fact, do you like the old, mid, new, or all of their stuff?

Hehehe.

Okay, to be honest I've never heard Virus. Seeing as our taste in music seems very simular, if you'd like to enlighten me I'd be happy to give them a listen.

1. Rush- 2112. 2112 is the closest thing to musical perfection i have seen, the chicken, i mean Geddy sings like a god damned madman and a good one at that. Lifeson has the most amazing guitar solo in this song, after the "It doesn't fit the plan..." part. to me it sounds like a heart breaking in guitar form, so amazing and so much talent.

2. Ayreon- Merlin's Will.  This song is phenomenal, Arjen is an amazing composer, even on his first few albums his talent shines. I love this song so greatly, because it has Ayreon, the bard from the story, not the band, being sentenced to death by Merlin and it is so powerful.

3. Judas Priest- Living After Midnight.  This song is a freakin' classic, need i say more. the solo in the song is breathtaking.

4. Machinae Supremacy- Hero.  Hero is my second favorite MS song, because of its fast rockin and its in your face approach. MS is a damn fine band, as we all can agree and this song is a pinnacle of their site releases.

5. Sonata Arctica- Full Moon.  Full Moon is a song about a man turning into a werewolf and the love of a woman, its pretty epic, without it being gay...like Blind Guardian. Jens Johansenn is an amazing keyboardist and it shows.

6. Kansas- The Pinnacle. I love what they do in this song. Kansas is one of my all time favorite bands, which may come off as gay to many of you. Classic rock is my favorite styling of music, that and Metal.

7. Trans-Siberian Orchestra- The Dark.  I have always had a small musical (like Phantom of the Opera) side of me and this song fills it quite well. The lyrics in this song are beautiful, and his voice is epic, yet still manly. I love TSO, the christmas rock stars, have a new album coming out soon, and its not about Christmas.

8. Machinae Supremacy- Trinity.  Sidology part 2 is the epitome of what music should be, MS made the perfect 12+ minute song and I re-live the song again and again. The best part is the orchestrated part near the end, when all the instruments start coming in one by one.

9. Ayreon- Valley of the Kings.  This is one of the coolest songs on the Electric Castle album, because of its amazing vocal works. There are many songs on that album that deserve spots on this list, yet aren't, because these are my top 10 at the moment. This alubm is completely magical, get it, if you like rock, experimentation, and prog.

10. Jethro Tull- Thick as a Brick part 1.  I know you may all hate me for this, but this is the best song of all time in my book. Its simple musicianship slowly becomes majestic complexity. Tull is a good band, but this is the best song they have ever made. "...Your wise men don't know how it feeeeeeeels to be thick, as a brick." I love it and it will forever live a my favorite.
