if i listed my top 10 right now it would be mostly Therapy? since that's all I listened to for the 2 days before I went away. when i get back to my own hosue (in parents right now) I'll make a proper top 10.

This looks interesting..

So at the moment;

10. The Black Mages - Force your Way (FVIII) - Excellent band, nobuo uematsu's rock band and theyre insanely amazing. They play alot of final fantasy battle song covers, but they rock so hard its unbelieveable. This is the music that should be the battle music in Final Fantasy PS3 remakes etc.. if there ever was.

9. Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek - It's one of many favourites with this artist, shes amazing. And hot as hell. And undiscovered to a certain extent. Her music is so refreshing its unbelieveable, inspiring for solo artists who want to make their full sound with more than an acoustic guitar and/or drums.

8. In Flames - Cloud Connected (Club Connecte Remix) - It isn't dancey at all, but its got that hard hitting feel to it, just like the original song, imo its the better version, sounds heavy as hell and the older in flames stuff rocks way more than the newer material, alas..

7. Machinae Supremacy - Ronin - Self explanitory. It's my ringtone and i do believe one of the best machinae songs of all time, but of course its not on its own.

6. Mars Volta - Inertiatic Esp - As i haven't heard any of their newer material yet, this will be one of my constantly loved favourites of the last 6 months; the drummer is amazing, infact the whole band is, and it all stands out so much, and constantly.. i'm amazed the world doesn't see more of them.

5. Matchbox 20 - Bright Lights - Getting more into piano, and its the simplest song to play and sing to, and its just great.. happy rockin american rock. I love all sorts.

4. Pagan's Mind - Search for Life - Never get bored of listening to this band, ever.. theyre amazing and one of my favourites. Surprised theyre not number 1? Maybeeee they are! This is one of many songs i listen to, i just couldnt list them all, thats unfair.

3. RATM - No Shelter/Bulls on Parade - Just this once ill put two down; RAGE are one of the best funk, rock, insaneo bands youll ever hear.. so unique, and Yeah, these are real power songs, good to rock out to.

2. Tool - Schism/Sober - Listening to my old favourite brought back good memories, i have some of their new stuff aswell, its fcking awesome. But these always stick with me, as im sure they do many tool fans. What a band. Their basis on music making is out of this world. But just in time enough to people to love it for what it is.

1. Muse - Map of the Problematique - I love the new album, as i love all music they make, but if i had to choose, it would be this song every fcking time. Such addictive riffs, and if you listen to it once youll think to yourself youve heard it before, but the more you listen to the unique sounds of everything in the song, you just begin to appreciate it more and more. I was going to go see them in november but i dont have the money to buy a ticket, but i am more than happy to know they were nearby again, ill have to stick with the memories from my first show of them years ago. /swoon.

When it comes to Muse, if I had to pick a song it'll probably be from Origin of Symmetry. But if I had to pick an album, it would be Showbiz every time. It's just more consistant and listenable than any of their newer albums.

Let's see...a Top 10 at the moment list:

10. Mad Sin {God Save the Sin} - Social Flop
9. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds {Murder Ballads} - O'Malleys Bar
8. Mad Sin {God Save the Sin} - Holy Vacation
7. Voltaire {Banned on Vulcan} - The Sexy Data Tango
6. Voltaire {Then and Again} - The Happy Song
5. Devil Doll - Dies Irae
4. Mad Sin {God Save the Sin} - Riot in Paradise
3. Flogging Molly {Within a Mile From Home} - Queen Anne's Revenge
2. Voltaire {Then and Again} - Crusade
1. Mad Sin {God Save the Sin} - Misery

The all-times favourite list is rather different. It would include at least one Metallica song (Welcome Home/Sanitarium), another Devil Doll song (The Sacrilege of Fatal Arms), at least two Machinae songs (Dreadnaught and Hero), one or two Vice Squad songs (Rich And Famous, at least), and would probably keep one two songs from the current favourites list (Mad Sins Misery and Devil Dolls Dies Irae).

  • Muse - New Born
  • Mindless Self Indulgence - Shut Me Up
  • Tool - Rosetta Stoned

  • KMFDM - Anarchy
  • Leaves' Eyes - Elegy
  • Muse - Assassin
  • Insert - A bunch of MaSu here

The new Muse album is pretty good. I still like the older style of Muse (a bit more hectic and unpredictable) a tad bit better, but their newer stuff is very enjoyable. It seems like the new album went a tad more digital and ambient, which is quite cool actually.

1. Clawjob - Welcome To Space School Absolutely beautiful song, the beginning to an awesome Space Rock Opera.  I <3 Clawjob.  The singing is superb, and the song makes me want to dance and sing and have sex and destroy everything within a 5 mile radius of me.
2. Cox & Combes - Washington Well, besides the fact taht i have this thing memorized, its jsut absolute comedy gold, and the best rap out there
3. MDFMK - Missing Time About 500 million times better than any other MDFMK song, and better than any KMFDM song, this is currently my overall favorite song of all time, because of the lyrics and the guitar... just the strange feelings it invokes in me.
4. Clawjob - I Got My Space Pass I got my space pass!  I got my space pass!  I got my space paaaaaaaaaaaaass...  Just such a brillaint song.  Clawjob ftw again.
5. Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution - They Provide the Paint for the Picture Perfect Painting That You Will Paint On The Insides Of Your Eyelids  While all the modern ska bands are incorporating more and more punk, BOTAR is incorporating more classical things, a la flamenco guitar (the band name is actually signicifant- all of their instruments are indeed acoustic, and are played as such.)  When you add in the awesome singing of Kalnoky, you get a band that makes me drool every time i listen.
6. Son of Sam - Of Power  The most recent thing Davey Havok has done that i can listen to.  I'm a big fan of his voice, but the way all these different talents have combined is just unbelievably shmecksy.
7. Autolux - Great Days For The Passenger Element My favorite noise rock band ever.  One of their songs is always on my playlist, and this is the one at the moment.
8. José Gonzáles - Slow Moves  One of my two favorite singer/songwriters (the other being Ben Lee).  While i love Ben Lee, José Gonzáles's music is much more talented, and this is why i like it more at the moment.
9. KMFDM - Anarchy (Fusako)  This song has the best use of stylized panning I've ever heard, and I'm addicted to it for this reason.
10. Mindless Self Indulgence - Dicks Are For My Friends  They are amazing live, and this music is so destructive you just HAVE to love it.
Honorable Mention:
Voltaire - The Vampire Club
... And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - Days Of Being Wild
Modest Mouse - Bukowski
Mars Volta - Inertiatic ESP
Autodome - Bluemind

I'm just going to go ahead and stir up trouble by saying that I've never heard Gnarles Barkley, I hate Powerman 5000, Sufjan Stevens, System Of A Down, TOOL, and Muse.  Can't stand those bands.

Ok, top 10 songs of right now! (no order)

10. Run Rabbit Junk - GitS SAC OST Its just really fun and energetic, picks me up on the walk to work in the mornings
9. Bombshell - Powerman 5000 I've gradually drifted away from my PM5k fangirl status, especially as I don't really like the new album, but songs like this are what I love about them, the songs that kill your ears but make up happy doing it.
8. Letters to You - Finch I've just started a new job, and its made me realise I still miss the guys I used to work with. This song is that feeling (LOLEMO)
7. 19sai - Suga Shikao The OP for xxxHolic, he's got a very sexy voice
6. Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana - D'espairsRay Even though my Japanese speaking skills are limited to shouting 'Omega kawaii!' at cute things, I think this track has a great sing-along quality. Seems like the band are going less heavy, more melody which is pretty cool
5. Kill Caustic - AFI Kasumi bought decemberunderground for me, and its a fairly good album. Not as good as Sing the Sorrow or the Art of Drowning, but still a good effort with stand-out tracks like this one.
4. Heart - 12012 Happy, dancey and fun. A lot different from their other stuff which tends to be a bit more depressing, another pick-me-up track
3. Alone in my Room - Skin I know Paul Draper (Mansun singer/songwriter) has something to do with this track and you can feel that, so I love it :)
2. Saraba Sekai - Himitsu Kessha Codomo A Ok, imagine the happiest Metronome song you can think of x100 and you get this. Its stupidly happy and bouncy. You can't possibly be depressed if this is playing.
1. Rei -zero- - Girugamesh Even though I don't know what he's singing about, you can feel the emotion. It feels like loss and longing and bitterness, really heartfelt
