Well, I started ice-hockey when I was about six and quit after seven years when it started taking too much time. One hour on ice five or six times a week and a match once a week was too much for me, especially because our team spirit couldn't have been worse if half of the team would've been Vogons and the other half would've been jewelled scuttling crabs of Vogsphere. If you don't know what they are, you can read, and there's any justice in this world, your head should implode.
After quitting ice-hockey I didn't do anything remotely related to sports for a year, then I started Kendo, got through the basics and lost interest. Recently I've started doing Parkour and tricking and it seems like this is exactly what I want to do: no set training times, can do alone altough it's more fun with a bunch of friends, and no competitions. I'm also thinking about starting Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu but, sadly, there are only five Bujinkan dojos in Finland and none of them are close enough to where I live.
