Do I have to be an x-man? Can't I be another superhero? Or at least a non-x-man mutant?

If I wanted to go for power, Rogue or Jean Grey would be the mutants of choice. For coolness, Wolverine would be my choice. Non-X-man, there's Magneto or Apocalypse.

Also, as Gambit, you wouldn't get any of Rogue's ass, seeing as she can't touch anyone without stealing their force and leaving them unconcious. You'd be better off choosing Cyclops, who gets Jean Grey.

Now, if I'm going to pick a comics character of non-x-men/mutants, for power, I think maybe the Saint of Killers would be the character of choice. Those who have read Preacher should know the extent of his powers. Of course, they're rather direct (complete invulnerability, and a pair of guns that always hit and always kill). Sorry, Apocalypse, but, you see, this guy killed [deleted due to spoiler value], the entire [also deleted] and even [really deleted, as it's a major plot point at the end of the series] himself.

(yeah, I'm trying to derail the thread into the territory me and a couple other forumers discussed yesterday about which comics character is the absolutely most powerful one. Come on, try to challenge the Saint of Killers...)

Scourge of the Underworld, anyone? :P

Granted, they probably would lose...but worth the mention none-the-less.

Yeah, that has to be the coolest superhero ever.

For those of you who don't know of him/her (it's really a string of characters), I will quote his Wikipedia article:
Quote
Notable Powers: Kills Ridiculous Villains

Laziest plot device in the history of comics.

"Hey, this villain is so ridiculous, we can't use him in a serious comic anymore. And as such, we can't kill him off."
"I know, let's make a hero that randomly comes in and kills him, and then leaves again."
"Yeah, lets."

I think it would have to be either Wolverine or the one that can change into anyone (he only appears in the first ever t.v. series episode and dies)
But if one day we meet together while I'm drunk, I promise you to draw a big group sex picture including a lot of forumites. :D

Morph appears more than once.

Mystique, conviently enough, also has the same power.

Rogue. Definately. Cos I\'d be hot and emo at the same time. I can deal without physical contact. Hell, I get none of it right now anyway :p

Well, being that hot... You wouldn't need anyone else to touch you, would you? :D

You'd be better off choosing Cyclops, who gets Jean Grey.

Plus he lives a secret life with Lois Lane too. Double the fun!

I'd want to be Wolvie, no question about it. He's just so damn cool.

There was one X-Man way back, don't remember his name, who had hollow bones, so he could jump and move very fast, and when he risked his life, he became the luckiest creature in the universe. I could be him too, if i couldn't be Wolverine.

The Beyonder from Marvel Secret Wars. He creates worlds.
But he's not really a character, so I'd say molecule man after the Secret Wars. His power is to do anything with molecules. The guy rebuilds and reignites the stars after the Beyonder has removed them. How's that for a power? Like "Hi, I have guns that kill in one shot." "Well, now you don't."
"Actually, wooden stakes are for vampires. Wooden steaks are for vegetarians."

Possibly, but powerful mystical entities (which the Saint most definitely is) has been known to be resistant or even immune to Rogues powers.

Also, a thing to remember is that the Saint, in the Preacher Universe, actually has taken the role of the Angel of Death, and as such more or less is the personification of Death.

Which, of course, gives him a weakness. A creature that is already technically dead (like Cassidy) won't be harmed by his guns.

I don't know shit about Marvel.

I'd like to be Green Lantern or Batman. Not the child molesting wacky 60ies Batman ("biff, pow, sock!"), but rather the fucked up psycho 80ies/90ies Batman. Or Batman Beyond.

Maybe even the Question. Or Rorschach. Lucy or Gaara.
