More DDR stuff..
« on: October 09, 2003, 10:06:30 pm »
Can anyone give me advice on the two things in DDR that really really throw me off?

Those'd be 1/8th notes and the arrows you have to hold down.  I can get the begining, but I have never been able to get above an "OK" with the ending...

"OK" is the max points you can get. You either pass a freeze arrow or fail it.... Quarter beat arrows..... you just need fast feet ;)
Current Games: Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Rockband 2, Red Alert 3 (PC)[/center]

Actually the part of the manual that I read and reread was the interviews with the artists.. I kinda skimmed the rest because like all good games, DDR is simple in concept, but not in execution.

It's all logic and rhythm. And balance, of course. :)

Balance I'm not too good in, and in my tiny apartment it's worrysome.. if I loose my balance I'd tilt in one of the four directions...

Straight ahead is the TV... to the right is my livingroom/kitchen table. (tiny apartment as I said)

To the back is a wall and to the left is a third story window leading to cement.

Good incentive to keep my balance, eh?+

Um.. what rail?  This is on your normal generic run of the mill craptastic dance pad.

(It's good, I figure it'll keep me from railraping should I ever decide to play in the arcade)
