Am I the only one who thinks Robs voice sounds much more different live? The singings still good but its missing the nasaly growl that’s in his voice that I’m used to and like.

singing in the studio is slightly different. it gives you the chance to prepare, get ready and have as many takes as you want.
performing live is just one shot only, and if you screw it up thats that. bare in mind rob was playing guitar at the same time, its incredibly difficult to maintain the perfect voice whilst concentrating on playing the right chords too!

don't forget audio mixers and room acoustics...being in a sound quality recording area and being on stage with alot of people, there is bound to be some loss in acoustics quality
