Wherein we discover new things every day.
« on: April 21, 2006, 07:17:47 am »
I apologize for the dissapearance, there were some personal issues.  however, i am not returned, merely back for a moment.  you see, my computer-- and this is not sarcastic at all, here-- exploded last night.

well, to be specific, the cooling on the video card failed, then the main cooling failed, the motherboard started to melt, the battery let off an electrical charge, the electricity condensed in the video card fan, which sparked, combusted, and exploded, completely shredding the video card, the sound card, and damaging the already 1/2 slag motherboard.  however, it appears that the hard drives are saved.

so, i am on hiatus until i have this whole situation solvez0red.  wish me luck, and may something like this never happen to any of you.

p.s. it's been 1 month and 1 day since my order.  and i STILL do not have Redeemer.  I can tolerate most things, but seriously... this is actually kind of pathetic.  and i know there's nothing that can be done, and i know that its not MaSu's fault, but... seriously.  over a month.  it really is pathetic.

Blowing things up is fun, but such unplanned explosions aren't. Next time, plan to blow up your computer rather than letting it blow up by itself. At least you'll get some fun out of it.

I havent had hardware die since my 300 mhz celery/intel died when I removed the hdd. Note the cpu needed to be removed to get to the hdd. Oh the fun times. Now I once I setup a computer I try not to play around with the hardware until it comes time to upgrade

Two of the capacitors in my dad's PSU exploded a short while ago... his sullution to the problem was to tax my PSU, I have a better one now, an Antec TruePower 480.
Fuck what I want.
Fuck what I need.
I'll sacrifice what I believe.

My computer also died because of the PSU, I think. I heard something like *zzt* and then suddenly the computer died on me. Smelled like something was scorched, too. I was only moderately annoyed, as it was an old piece of crap anyway. Happily enough both the video card and the RAM survived, so I put them in my little brother's computer (an old PII 300Mhz, about the same as my broken one) to make it suck less.
<@Torp> I have seen your melted pussy!
