A swedish, emo, english singing band that no one knows how to pronounce?

Sound kinda cool to me, don't you think?
I heard their lead is sexy.

It is sexy. So is the amp they plug it in to.

I'm typing faster and faster, the keys are hard, I'm keeping up the rythmn.

The first thing to make me laugh in this thread. :)

What's with the walls of text in this forum? Are they like gravehills of long forgotten forum discussions?

Seeing that you have found out yourself (well done, by the way), I will only comment on your AOL-speak. Please do not use it. This is a forum, and the maximum length of a post is, if not unreachable, then at least very large, large enough that one can take the liberty of writing every word out in full. This is unlike SMSs, where shortform is very much preferable if you are low on cash and need to put in as much meaning in the 160 or so characters you got. I myself have sometimes tried to find ways for my SMS messaging to fit into a single SMS, especially when I have only been a few characters above maximum.

Also, being a forum, it is neither an instant messaging service. In instant messaging, shortform of certain words and phrases can be acceptable or even preferable, as it saves the time it takes to write it. This is especially true for the so-called TLAs, or Three Letter Abbreviations (as well as certain other X Letter Abbreviations). Some of these are used so much, it is almost condonable to use them in here as well.

A third time when shortform is preferable, is when taking personal notes for later use, for example in a journal or if you're a writer dotting down a plot outline for a future novel while sitting on the train. This forum is not your personal journal. If you want a personal journal, buy a palmtop computer (which, by the way, can be used for several other things, and really is a nice little tool to have), a pencil and a little notebook you can put in your pocket, or register a blog. The last one is usually rather public, though, and it's not always as readily available as the palmtop or notebook, so I would suggest going for one of the former.

So basically, what I am trying to say is, please refrain from using shorthand writing in the forum. It is very much more pleasing to the eye to read a fully written out post compared to reading one written in such a way as you did. In fact, you may very well risk not having your post read, if you write a longer post that way.

Just so you do not think I am attacking you, I know that you usually write your posts out in non-shorthand, and that it was all a joke.

The walls of text is a good thing, it means that the post just might have some content. Using the word gravehill to describe them is rather closer to the truth than you might have imagined, seeing that Gravehill himself was a fan of the long posts.

I propose that we make a Gravehill Day, where all forum members can show their respect for this Dead God by writing a long, well-thought out post. I propose that this day be set to 26th of April, the day Gravehill joined the forums almost three years ago.

I would like to further propose that all posters be required to post at least as many lines as are taken up by their signatures. Small pictures count as one line. Fireintheeyesfan's counts as 3, and so in in that fashion. This way we can either cut down on one-word responses or cut down on scrolling through the same damn sigs over and over.

So let it be written; so let it be done.

@Torp
You could also have written "Stop AOL-Kiddiespeak" instead of this text.
You stole a minute of my life.
I want it back.
Now.
We're open to such things, we've even talked many times about doing it with Inja, but in a way that's redundant because we can already get Erica

You could have simply realized that after someone mentioned a wall of text, of course the wall of text following it would exist solely as a lengthy joke, saying lots of words but signifying nothing. 'Twas to you and to you alone to decide the usefulness of reading such a post, and you can blame nobody but yourself for what little time was spent thereby. Furthermore, knowing that such an endeavour as you request would be impossible, you have quite consciously wasted yet more time by posting your response.
