i don't remember that. anyway, the topic is the lesser known 87 series, not the 84. if that picture is for real, i can see why the original series got cancelled.

Conclusion of the series: You need a weapon to become a man.
Somehow doubtful, isn't it?

btw: ARGH, I HATE PINK SHIRTS!!11!

this thread has strayed way far from my intentions. does anyone even know the series i'm talking about? http://www.he-man.org/cartoon/hm/index.shtml

i don't even know what to make of the original series besides the fact that he had a sword and never killed anyone with it. i'm also seeing the whole transformation bit (in all 4 series) as a subtle psychological push for an alternate personality in the face of danger - one that doesn't slip into hysteria.

I was born in '88, all I know from it is that gay video and the few episodes that were showed on Cartoon Network.  ;D
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

the new one looks like it has potential. mayhaps fix all the shit that was wrong with the original. i haven't seen much of it though. hell the series might be over as it started in 2002. i'll decide whether i should chase it when i get done with the 87 series.

Lol, yeah, it ended a WHILE ago... didn't make it past the first season. But I was talking about reruns of the old series.

I'm sorry, but "Stroopie" just sounds disgusting.
