If you want to confuse, use mmddyy. Like 052306. 04152006 doesn't stand a chance. Especially if it's the twentieth. 052006. Well, at least you would then find the month and the year.

Or, if you really want to confuse, ddyymm. 230605. And 200605.

Better yet! ymdxymydy.

Or write it in code: MAY TWENTY-THIRD, TWO THOUSAND AND SIX.

Yes, but DD/MM/YYYY has the added advantage of confusing Americans.
I'm sure this was discussed in another thread... damn americans using mm/dd/yyyy very confusing especially when you need to organise somthing to occur in that format but you are used to using dd/mm/yyyy

Not to VT: You obviously haven't been to Canada. Go there now.

I also like the PHP date format, which is the number of seconds since a certain date. You'll never get mixed up then, and it can be easily converted to any other date format.

That would be unix time. Seconds since the epoch of 19700101. It works great until 20380119 or so.

Let's start writing dates in binary.

No, I'm not going to come up with an example. Not that it's hard, but I'm just too lazy.

The Japanese usually write dates as yy.mm.dd (e.g. 06.05.24). I think it makes the most sense. Europeans use the nice ddmmyy. The American way of mmddyy is just stupid - I think it was just a new founder way of saying \"we are not European, therefore we shall write dates differently, play football by using our hands and use dash inappropriately like this-lol.\"

How dare you! - Insult our dash usage?! - WHAT? - Football with hands = handball! - But now there is a separate sport named handball! - What is the world coming to?

Whatever makes things easier to organize is the way it should go. I say yyyy/mm/dd.
