The Japanese usually write dates as yy.mm.dd (e.g. 06.05.24). I think it makes the most sense. Europeans use the nice ddmmyy. The American way of mmddyy is just stupid - I think it was just a new founder way of saying \"we are not European, therefore we shall write dates differently, play football by using our hands and use dash inappropriately like this-lol.\"
