Lyrics in Rise
« on: March 03, 2006, 05:35:38 am »
At the part in the song where Robert says "Somewhere along the line it seems, that _____ became cool, and punk mainstream"...what the fook is the blank? I've been trying to figure that out since the song was released and I can't think of a damn thing that actually would make sense in the song. The only thing I can come up with is Pink, and a shot at Pink seems to me like it would be too random for any MaSu song except for Legion Of Stoopid, which it isn't in :P

There are lyrics in the discography page.
Ninjas are cool, and by cool I mean totally sweet.

Believing in a zombieman from outer space who is his own father is pretty funny, but that's not what MaSu is about //yas

Though it's true, you wouldn't normally expect a word like "pimp" in a machinae song. But in the context it makes perfect sense. SttR seems sort of out of character lyrics-wise.

I've heard pimp everytime I've listened to it... how did you all hear that wrong?
Fuck what I want.
Fuck what I need.
I'll sacrifice what I believe.
My little girlscout, your mouth is getting sore.
Will you love me any less, if I hurt you any more?

Ahh damnit...I looked in the discography page right when the song came out and didn't see it there, so I figured nobody was gonna put up lyrics for a while. I feel retarded now :P

Good question... I have no idea how I got that wong. I'd need to listen to the track again but I am away from my computer and no earphones for my ipod.

I broke my MP3 player whilst recoding an A Cappella version of Winterstorm for a forum I frequent. My singing was so poor, it made it stop working :(

Does anyone know just who the hell is singing after the second chorus? When Robert cuts out, someone else is singing. I'd imagine it would be Gordon or maybe even Jonne, but it would be nice to know so I can associate voice-with-name.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.
