How did YOU find Machinae Supremacy?
« on: March 02, 2006, 07:51:53 pm »
I DID look for simalar topics but didn't find any. If there is one simply point it out and ill obliterate this post! kthx.

After realising how many MaSu fans are really out there, it got me wondering..How did you find the band in the first place?

I found them by complete chance. I clicked the "Random LJ" button on Livejournal.com one time, and the journal that came up was of someone with a huuuuuuge post about Machinae Supremacy. They were saying how awesome they were and that they were going to buy DXM as soon as they could. I thought I'd google the name and see what appeared. Found the site and listened to ghost. I guess the rest is history..:P

What about you?

Both of my brother's had Machinae songs playing in the background. Hearing both Attack Music and Winterstorm simultaneously, how could I not fall in love with the music?

I was VGMixing, and I saw somewhere a link to one of the sidologies (Sidology 3, if I remember).

I downloaded it, listened to it, googled "machinae supremacy", found the site, downloaded everything.  ;D

Next day, I came back, and noticed that even though I was pretty sure I just downloaded everything, I was missing two songs. Ghost and loot burn rape kill repeat. They've been released the day I discovered MaSu.  ;D

Well, a friend of mine told me to check www.machinaesupremacy.com out after sending me Anthem Apocalyptica. I found it pretty cool, downloaded some more songs... and here I am, looking forward to buy a new album =)

I was, like every single day, reading the SomethingAwufl frontpage, where the writer went, in a video game review, something like "not all 8-bit era video game music suck, it even inpired a very talented rock band" with a link to Machinae Supremacy's webbie. Early 2003 if I recall correctly.

I listened to some c64 remix radio and my jaw dropped as I heard Gianna Sisters among the usual crappy techno stuff... 8)

That was sometime early 2005.. shortly after me and my gf split up, so Gianna Sisters and the sidologies quite helped me through some sad times  ;D

took me a half a year to come back and download more songs...

For a long while, Giana and Sidologies 1 & 3 were in and out of the five top-ranked songs on Nectarine (looks like Giana's still hanging on at #9).  Sometime in late 2004, I gave them a listen and liked them so much that I went looking for other promo tracks.

Believing in a zombieman from outer space who is his own father is pretty funny, but that's not what MaSu is about //yas

The one you know as Megadokyo showed my friend Dan a few of the tracks and then they did the rounds of all our friends. The big track that everyone loved was Sidstyler and some of us wound up getting into Machinae in a big way!

2004, was wandering thru the Mega Driver site (brazilian band that plays some videogame tunes in heavy metal versions. http://www.megadriver.com.br/site.html), and I read something about the Gianna Sisters cover on www.machinaesupremacy.com (I've never played this game, though... i've never played any C64 game o.o ). There was this song "Soundtrack to the rebellion". "Wow, good title, might be a good song!". When I heard "In this place, we find each other", I began downloading the other songs, and voilá, Machinae Supremacy fan xD

My cousin sent me Insidious and I listened it over and over again. Then I asked him if he could send me more. He just pointed me to www.machinaesupremacy.com and told me to download everything.
