Great Gianna Sisters
« on: September 19, 2003, 05:16:50 am »
This is the intro/chorus riff thats herd quite a bit.

e|------------------------------------------------------
B|------------------------------------------------------
G|--------------------------------7-------------------
D|-7----9----10-----9-----7----------10-----9-----
A|----7----7------7-----7-----7----7------7----7---
E|------------------------------------------------------

e|------------------------------------------------------
B|------------------------------------------------------
G|--------------------7----9-----7-------------------
D|-7----9----10-----------------------10-----9-----
A|----7----7------7-----7-----7----7------7----7---
E|------------------------------------------------------

e|------------------------------------------------------
B|------------------------------------------------------
G|--------------------------------7-------------------
D|-7----9----10-----9-----7----------10-----9-----
A|----7----7------7-----7-----7----7------7----7---
E|------------------------------------------------------

e|------------------------------------------------------
B|------------------------------------------------------
G|--------------------------7----9-------------------
D|-6----7-----9-----10----------------10-----9-----
A|----7----7------7-----7-----7----7------7----7---
E|------------------------------------------------------

Then it flips up 1 octave. Im sure you guitar players could figure out how thats done :) Im still workin out how the bass works in there. im shure its just following the root note of each chord. and im not good with distinguishing chords.

Thats my version....not finished though.. none of my tabs are finished :P kinda doubt they will be...
Lifeless I sail through these ironic fashions, dressed in the flesh of the jokers passions. On the uttermost brink of madness I stroll, and the rise of insanity as my most precious goal. Tricking the trail of my long lost obscurity, I gather me inside the artifice of eternity....

Ok, I have started tabbing this cursed song.. :) And so far you can see the result from here:

http://www.student.oulu.fi/~arilavan/gianna_sisters.gp4

It's in GuitarPro format and you'll need at least GP 4.0.7 to view it. Those who don't have GP, get the trial version from here:

http://www.guitar-pro.com/

I'll continue doing the tab, but pretty sure I won't be able to tab the solos without help... So if someone out there who has the skills to tab the solos, I would REALLY appreciate if he/she would post those solos to this thread.

Also the bassline is just a guess. I just used those bass notes from the chords. If you basists have something to add to the bass score, please tell me.

I'll keep informing my progress. Till next time.

EDIT: some spelling errors

Ok, I made progress yesterday and the status at the moment is following:

drums - almost done (outro is missing)
bass - last chorus and outro are missing
gtrs - solos, last chorus and outro are missing

Today's goal is make drums complete and try to make some sense to those harmonies in the last chorus.

Ok, finally some progress. This tab was in ice for few weeks because of lack of motivation and skills.. :)

Now I tabbed the rest of the outro. Here's a list of the things which still needs to be done:

- Both solos are missing (there's a bit of Robert's solo though thanks you Skvate)
- Jonne's guitar (harmonies) after the solo still has many errors despite of the fact that there's _something_ in the track :)
- Bass track in outro has definetely errors since I suck at tabbing bass

But anyways, here's the url for the tab:
http://www.student.oulu.fi/~arilavan/teh_great_gianna_sisters.gp4

And here's a midi so you can get an idea what I've done without downloading GP:
http://www.student.oulu.fi/~arilavan/tauhkaa/teh_gianna_sisters.mid

Any help at this point would be appreciated.

Once again, I'm back!

I made some progress with the tab.

I tabbed Robert's solo and basisti helped me with the bass outro. And I made some few changes to the harmonies.

So here it is:

And the traditional midi:
