In need of banner fonts
« on: February 15, 2006, 06:34:59 am »
Hello. I am a big fan of Machinae Supremacy. They are my most favorite band. If I were able to buy a Deus Ex Machinae CD, I would buy three. Now, I am thinking about making a few desktops of my own, and I need the fonts that were on the previous layout of the site. http://content.radio.freematrix.us/projects/radio/artists/machinae_supremacy.jpg  That, or the font on the Deus Ex Machinae cover art, is the font I need. Any help would be necessary, and I will be highly grateful. A link to a .ttf file or even just the font name will be greatly appreciated. :)

When I did some previous banner work, I was also searching for the first font you mentioned. I used What The Font? to identify the font by uploading an image of some text from Machinae's website at the time.

The font is Handel Gothic. You can generate some preview images on that page which should be large enough to make banners with. That page has also links where you can buy the font, but now you know the name of the it, you can try finding it somewhere else.

Oh, and...
..and I need the fonts that were on the previous layout of the site. http://content.radio.freematrix.us/projects/radio/artists/machinae_supremacy.jpg..

What a convenient Freematrix Radio plug right there! :)

Doesn't look like there's any commercial site that offers the font for free. They're all charging $20+ for it. =\
