Rise (opening riff)

(1/2) > >>

Blue Devil:
I'm 99.9% sure that this is how the opening riff goes. The guitar and piano parts are nearly identical.

E|------------------------------9----10-12-10-9-7-------------------
B|------------7---8-10-8-7---8----8---------------7---8-10-8-10----
G|7--676---7---7-----------9-----------------------7------------9~-
D|-------9-----------------------------------------------------------
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------

That is repeated once more with the guitar, with one slight change, instead of 8 10 8 10 9, it is.

E|-----------------
B|-8-10-8|10|8----
G|-------------9--
D|--------------9-
A|----------------
E|----------------

This =/= translate to piano.  i mean, theoretically, it does.  but it means i need to steal my guitarists guitar, play said tabs (i know how to read tabs), and then translate that to a keystroke.

the world needs better methods of tabbing keyboard.  or, we could have Gordon leave sheet music for us.  if he did, i'd buy him a woman to have his children.  assuming he doesnt already have one.  in which case i will pay for his child to go through three days of college.

Can't you just look at the tab, and write down what note it is? Use a fretboard diagram if you need to, but there's certainly no real need to play it on guitar first. Lemme know if you need a hand with that.

would you mind?  the only way for me to translate this to piano is to steal my guitarist's guitar (and its an Gibson SG, the fucker SLEEPS with that thing) and match pitch to my piano.  which is also slightly out of tune.

so any help would result in an airmailed cookie- your choice of chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin.
