Or better yet, one third English, Swedish and German.

Then enter it into the Eurovision song contest!

Best idea ever.

Come on, machinae, do it!

Looking at Norway's entry last year, which ranked quite highly, it may be a good idea.

I've never even heard of this thing up until now. So, the people vote for one artist to represent "all countries"?! Or do they pick an artist out of all the artists representing different countries?

Each country goes through a painful process of finding the worst song they can produce, then all off europe votes to select the worst song of Europe.

That's strange, I think it looks like perfect eurovision material.

Bah, that could have rivalled 'Grandma bangs the drum' from last year. That should have won.

That would have a decent chance of winning if someone really entered it.

Only one of the most amusing annual programmes ever created. Once a year, a bunch of european countries pick an artist to represent their country in the Eurovision. They sing a 3 minute long song, and everyone in the included European countries votes on it. Most entries are fucking hilarious.

wha? you get something like that and us Americans get stuck with crap like American Idol? Once again the American Media can go burn in hell

and to keep on topic:

German + MaSu = Awsome
I'd really like to hear that acctually

Yeah, the UK and some other countries have their own Pop Idols (It was a UK thing first, then you Americans took it and called it American Idol, I suprised you didn't rename the comedy series The American Office. Anyway...) but Eurovision compares nothing to that.

If you're still unclear: Every year each European country selects a song (and act) to represent them in the Eurovision Song Contest. When the Contest comes around each country's act sings to watchers to all over Europe from the Contest's host country and at the end the population of each country tele-votes for their favorite act, which converts into a points system. The most voted getting 12, then 10, 8, 7, 6, so on. And so the points are totaled up and a winner is announced.

Most of the acts are hilarious and cheesy and the voting is hugely political, but it's always a fun night. I never miss it.
