Flagcarrier question
« on: February 03, 2006, 06:12:50 pm »
I'm POSITIVE I recognise music from Final Fantasy VI in here - starting around 4:20, and ending around 5:00. Now, I'd just assume it was some wild yet cool coincidence if I didn't hear it again in the outro at around 5:44. It definitely sounds like Terra's theme.

If this has already been said: ignore meee

By degrees we beheld the infinite abyss, fiery as the smoke of a burning city;
Beneath us, at an immense distance, was the sun, black but shining.

Hey...

The Final Fantasy-similarity in Flagcarrier is actually half-coincidental, meaning when we did it sort of unintentionally at first but realized long before release the similarities, and chose to leave them in the song because we enjoy to "reference" things we like with our lyrics and our music.

Oh.

Regardless, very cool. :D It was a great game, and I only really "got into" the song a few days ago, so I'm happy you did something like this. Thank you!

O ho, great minds think alike.

Yeah, it has been said before, many times. But this is the first time Robert has explained how it came about, so GG for asking ;D

IMO, Flagcarrier is the second best song on DXM, after the almighty Player One.

In order of preference on DXM:

1. Killer Instinct
2. Player One
3. Flagcarrier
4. Throttle And Mask
5. Ninja

And the rest are joint sixth. :p
