Wonder how a Machinae cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" would sound... one of the few Pink Floyd works I like....

It would sound weird I think. :P

I happen to enjoy "I Turn to You". Never heard the original.

Yeah it's a great song. The original's a bit too "soft" for the average metal fan to enjoy but I still like it.

Nah, covering pop tracks sucks. Never been the greatest fan of I Turn To You anyway.

You are NOT my son! *tears*

Plus, it's all complicated legally now that they're selling music.

Yeah I guess it's a bhit more complicated, but shouldn't be TOO complicated.

MaSu should cover some soft pop songs and turn them into heavy-metal tunes. Like "I Turn To You"....

Or not. :) that'd be too mainstream.

::) No it wouldn't. Mainstream doesn't apply to MaSu songs or MaSu songs that are covers, because by the time they're done with whatever song they're covering, the word "Mainstream" will apply even less than it could've before. Juts listen to the rockin' rifs and the amazing guitar soslo (which makes me wanna air-guitar every single time) on "I Turn To You". That's good music.

To play on an old ad.: "Mr. Supremacy, you make gooooood music." ;) :P

Indeed...  ???

The music is awesome, the lyrics are fine... whats so bad about it?

MaSu could turn into a cover band and i'd hardly care, they could go all instrumental or give up instrumentals and i would hardly care. They touch = teh gold.

Damnit, i AM a fanboy :(

I'm assuming you're talking about "Another Brick in the Wall part 2" which is the one with the British schoolboy chorus.

And I think people should leave Pink Floyd's works alone. Yes, I enjoy them too. Most of it, anyway. I never was too fond of Dark Side-era and forward.

I just heard what was, imo, the best folk metal I've ever heard last night. You should grab some if you haven't already: Tuatha de Danann - [2004] Trova di Danú

MaSu could turn into trance DJs and they'd still rule. Hell, I wouldn't mind hearing them do a hip hop song or something. I'm sure they'd still do a good job. They seem to understand good music well, and know what nice-sounding melodies to use as the base of their songs to give them a rockin' start, and they just keep mprovin' on the basic formula on each and every song. Hell, the high production values alone will ensure that whatever they make is at least good enough, if not kickass.
