A whole song about Spam, bacon and eggs!
What meaning has my life that the inevitability of death cannot destroy it?

/SMACK!

There were beens in there too; and a dish that was far too fancy to memorise.
"What I felt was turned, in the tempest forged to hate. My soul I disconnected, and called out the Lightbringer to the gate."

I don't know much about pop music, but wasn't she a one hit wonder (the mentioned Licht thing not being the one hit)?
I seriously doubt it. She's had many hits. Maybe in the U.S. she was heard for a short time and then forgotten. But who cares. She's much bigger in Europe (Germany especially)....

I don't listen to pop and dance music, so I wouldn't now. Can't even tell what's in the charts right now.

Is it the same Rollergirl who had this "Dear Jessie" song?

Yup. That's her. Better songs by her include "Licht Und Farben" and "Want U More"....

I wouldn't be surprised to see less people here liking electronica than elsewhere, but I for one am absolutely crazy about electronica. I listen to a bit of almost everything, but electronica is definitely one of my favorites. I think I have well over 50 full CDs/albums worth of electronica (euro-techno/industrial-electronica/euro-dance/euro-trance/euro-house/etc.). There's nothing quite like driving on the highway and on the streets of downtown Vancouver (or any other city) with a girl or buddy or group of people in the car, listening to orgasmic melodic trance. It's a part of human nature too I think, 'cuz I used to think it's just me, but apparently countless others have discovered this on their own or by proxy - that driving at night and listening to trance is like meditation. You can call it your own personal rave.

I'd like to see Machinae cover some Laibach songs. Or the other way around. Laibach covering Machinae songs. Just because Laibach makes weird covers.

* Torp points to Laibachs cover versions of Life is Life. The one in english and the one in german. "Leben, Leben Heisst Leben". And their cover of Sympathy for the Devil. And the cover for Jesus Christ Superstar.
...why Torp was picked over you... HE'S JUST BETTER THAN YOU IN EVERY RESPECT. -SomethingGood

MaSu should cover some soft pop songs and turn them into heavy-metal tunes. Like "I Turn To You"....

Or not. :) that'd be too mainstream.

Nah, covering pop tracks sucks. Never been the greatest fan of I Turn To You anyway.

Plus, it's all complicated legally now that they're selling music.

I've been listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra alot lately, and I also much heart the Apocalyptica cover of Hall of the Mountain King. Hence I think Machinae cover of a classical song with the SiD and everything would own muchly. I love rock-classical things :)

I happen to enjoy "I Turn to You". Never heard the original.

Wonder how a Machinae cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" would sound... one of the few Pink Floyd works I like...
Your approval fills me with shame.
