Heh, guitar, also. I've been playing for two years now. Two electric guitars, a Guild DeArmond and an Epiphone SG, and an acoustic by some unknown manufacturer. I'll have another acoustic by the end of the schoolyear, an Ibanez (it's always good to have a crap guitar to bring places and not care if it gets too beat up  ;D ). I play classical/fingerstyle, a little blues, and the general hard-rock/punk/metal. Although, recently, I've reached a plateau.  :( I feel like I'm right on the edge of being really good, but I can't quite get there. So, I bought a metronome to help me out.  ;D

I want to learn how to play the blues harmonica. Someone teach me, please?   :-\

I've been playing guitar for about three and half years. I play in a band, Fate of the Kindred Octopus. We play all kinds of fast paced, crazy metal, and of course any video game music we can get our hands on.

Thanks, for sake of a shorter name most just use FOKO. Apparently 'the' isn't good enough for an acronym but 'of' is....

I've been playing guitar for about three years now and composing for about a year. All self-taught, and I haven't taken any music classes [history or composition-type stuff]..as of yet, anyway. I took to guitar fairly quickly and from that composing just came relatively-naturally. I really hope to make a career out of music in some way.

This situation pertains almost exactly to me as well. I've been playing for 3 years and 5 months (I just judge the years every time September rolls around). I have a lot of my own music in PowerTab (Last time I had everything in MIDIs it was 49 minutes of music and I have since then made some new stuff). Don't really know how to describe it but I like it.

I'm hitting the white and black keys on the keyboard since I'm 9 years old. I took lessons for about 7 years and I still refuse to read notes. Instead I play by ear, meaning: more freedom during pure boredom. ;D

Let me listen to a song and tell me what melody you want to rebuild and I'll do it.

Playing by ear = best skill any musician can have, whether you read music or not :)

Playing by ear is also a lot funner 'cause you feel like you've accomplished more than if you had just read how to play it off a sheet of music or tab website.
