But new people posting could shift the balance of power in here. Whatever that means.

Won't happen. The balance of power belongs to me. I mean the rulemakers  ::)

They like to believe they exist.

I think the 10+ pages of people in the member list with 0-1 posts who haven't been active on the forums in the last 3 month should be deleted. That would cut the member count in like half right there.

We need to stop scaring off all of the newbies :-\ It's going to affect the forum negativly in the long run.

I don't really think its us that scares them off. There's something else about the forum that discourages people from becoming active members. It might just be that they expected a lot more Machinae Supremacy discussion going on and when they realized there wasn't they just got bored and left. Any other ideas?

Sharp wit ahoy! I think if we just stopped with all of the warnings, and stopped seeming to try too hard, it could increase the number of active members. I suggest we temporarily ignore newbies until they reach a few posts, then welcome them. Yes/no? I generally suck at talking to people, so any other suggestions would be oh so nice.

Its worth a try. I never welcome the newbies anyways though because they're usually gone for good within a week.

We could try and convince some of the #machinaesupremacy regulars on quakenet to  join, as that would alleviate some problems of low postage.
